I thought about trying to join demonoid to see what all the fuss about it was but with all the invite stuff going on I figured it wasnt worth the bother.
Post count is what goes towards member rating on this site anyway. And you can get viruses/spyware off of anywhere on the internet these days if you dont know what youre doing. P2P programs like limewire are the real hotbeds for that but the bad stuff is fairly obvious fortunately.
AVGs live scanner will usually take care of anything that does get through but there have been a few times where the only option ended up being a complete reformat. My cd for XP is out of uses though so next time I need a reformat it looks like Im going linux ^.^
You certainly joined up on the site awhile ago, do you visit often or are you just getting back onto the site now?

The operators manual for this machine can be obtained at [ link ]
Surprisingly, the unit has component video, composite video, as well as S-Video outputs. Does anyone know if time base correction is inherent in all machines that can dub VHS to DVD? It is either essential to convert the analog waveform to digital and then MPG, or would make a big improvement. Is the former the case, ie., is it essential rather than optional? If so, why does RCA tout it as a feature on their $220 combo unit but almost nobody else does?
