    Hey :)
here's hoping you have a very merry Xmas and a prosperous new year

I recently saw your post regarding mp3-to-dvda conversion. Even done properly, would decompressed mp3 yield the same quality as untouched master PCM file? I also own an Acura TL and would like to take advantage of the DVD-A system, if I can. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Kim307.
Seriously sorry that I never replied earlier - I did not know this page existed (how lazy am i?)
Decompressed mp3 will not be the same quality as the master PCM - although if you have mp3 at 320, you can get close. Once the data has been thrown away, it is gone forever.

Hello Wilkes -- having seen your reply to a post regarding discwelder (and noting that this isn't part of your watchlist), can I ask a quickie here that is absent from the Chrome user guide? Regarding Track Points in large mlp files, the guide suggests that these will ''...show up on the consumer’s DVD-A player as separate track numbers''. If this is so, is there a maximum of 99 Track Points per Group? If not, it would seem that more than 99 'tracks' per Group (i.e., as seen by the DVD-A player) are possible. Context is I wish to author a disc that doesn't require multiple Groups as the player in question requires a display to be attached to switch between Groups; if I merge CD album tracks into single WAV files, I can put 99 of those albums in a single Group and then subdivide them back into their discrete tracks by Track Points, no?

    A work-around that will work???

    cheers,
    P
