  Hi, I have a 10 year old boy and wants to get xbox live hooked up for christmas. I have been reading info on this but have no idea how to do it or what to buy...... I need a shopping list..... Very direct list do to I don't understand any of this stuff..... We have a hp - windows xp - roadrunner - and xbox. thats all i know. Can anyone help me with my shopping list. I need connectors and cables from what i have read. I don't have time to order items do to my last min. shopping, but can you get these thing at walmart, toysrus?   You shouldnt post emails, and you should keep your questions for the forums. Or look for a guide, you need a crossover cable, a spare Ethernet port in the back of your PC, a modded xbox, set your IP to static and make a note of your Xbox's IP.

  Could you explain to me how step 10 - 12 works exactly in your guide to soft modding with SID.Splinter.Cell.v2.0.NTSC.Xbox-Hq? I have everything all working great but I want to enable the Ms dashboard in the menu so i can access the soundtracks and whatnot. Your tut says to delete files from the c drive and install the latest ms dash then use the Patch MS 5960. I am just confused with the whole deleting the c drive and installing ms dash part. Do you do this from the install menu where the Patch MS 5960 is loacated?

  hey i read your forum HOW TO FTP MADE EASY but i m using XBOX MEDIA CENTER and you used pictures and stuff to explain how to setup the FTP so u can tranfer files from the PC but since i m using the XBOX MEDIA CENTER i cant follow that guide and i m having a hard time FTPing so can u please help me out.

  I noticed on one of your posts that you managed to softmod a Japanese xbox. How did you do this? I have the mega x-key for loading saves onto the box but don't know which game to use. I heard that the Japanese version of Mechwarrior won't work. Will the J version of Splinter Cell work? Help please!

  ok i have had my x box soft mded for three munths now and i hqave avalaunch i play the real games on it the most recent one i played was ninja gaden blacl i got greedy and want three hard drives in my x box 2 160 gigs and the original one for i can go on line and play new games so i moded my other drive and vry thing works the only problem is i stuck the drive back on my x box and wanted it back to normal i erased the linusx and splinter cell now it just comes up as a microsoft x box and does not do any thing just the big green x on the screen please help marc my yahoo is stretchnuttss2001 and my aim is stretchnuttss

  Hi..sorry to bother you but i noticed your name coming up alot and you have helped alot of people..i have a n64 emulator that i cant get to work..all of the files are named cx-n64f.part001 and so on in number(roughly 45) i extracted the first one and the extracted files are now example mario64.usa do you have any idea how i can get these onto disk working?? i have the emulator its called surreal 64..do i dont know how to get them onto disk..or the hard drive..ive backed up a tonne of games and this is the first one like this so i am clueless...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

  Hi. I've gone through just about every tutorial I've found for xbox ftping...my xbox is hooked upto my router, which in turn is hooked into my pc and the dsl filter in the wall jack. I've done honestly EVERYthing short of getting a crossover cable and hooking the xbox straight into the pc. I wouldn't think that's a problem considering I've got the router.   hi, I just read your article on forwarding ports, and sad to say but i'm not quite sure what to do. I actually get stuck at one of the steps in part 1. I get all the way up to when I am adding a service. I Use utorrent, so I enter utorrent as the description, my ip adress ad the ip, but i don't know what to enter in the two other fields, or whether to type tcp or udp.   hey im trying to download dot halo and it wouldn't work so i tryes h2edit and that wouldn't work either i first tried .net framework 1.1 and then 2.0 but neither of them would work and it keeps saying that

  hi ive got an ASUS Wireless Router and i need to enable the ports so i get can Second Life to run. I know what ports ive got to use they are 443/TCP, 12035/UDP, 12036/UDP, 12043/TCP, and 13000-13050/UDP. Ive tried putting them into the router but ive had no joy out of it.   ok here gos.i have verizon dsl,the new modem is a 4 port wireless also.connected to this i have a dlink dgl-4500 gamer.i have 2 computers and 1 xbox 360 hooked up to the dlink.everything works,except xbox.it finds ip for about 5 to 10 minutes then disconects,if i unplug power from dlink it reconnects for the same time.all computers work great.also the wireless that i have for the xbox does same thing connects then doesnt,help.be gentle im ignorent as the come,when talking about connecting this,thanks.can you email me at tj11969@yahoo.com or do i just go back here,wherever this is

  1. Will changing 1 computer to static affect the dynamic IP's of the other 2?

  i have some questions about the xbox softmod, and I was hoping that you'd be able to help me.
  When I try to play a burned game, it doesn't play, all i get is an unknow message. I use Maxell DVD's. Also, when I load up the dashboard, i get an error about unloaded bios. If you have anything that could help please e-mail me at dual.face@hotmail.com

  I read your Tutorial on how to open and forward ports. I am playing around with the Ventrilo server program, trying to set up a server of my own. I have it all set up and ready to go, only one problem... Other people cannot connect from outside my network. I followed your steps, but I'm pretty sure i used the wrong numbers.
