HELP ME with directX =[

hey i need urgent help with directX 9.0c

im tring to play the sims 2 but i cant without directX 9.0c

i have tried downloading it several times and it does say
it was completed however everytime i go to launch the
game it still says it requires it =[

help me what am i doing wrong..

anyone? please help me..
