Rewriting my PC Specs page so it's not tucked away in a blog post from 2007, and formatting it slightly better this time (I hope!) Scroll to the bottom of this page for A/V and peripheral setups. ...

Regarding recent upgrades...

I'm not usually one to go out there and buy the top stuff. I've for a long while used a bottom-end Dual core processor due to how it works, and perhaps against better judgement went with ATI's ...

HD4870 mini-review

Tested my HD4870 out, and it's every bit as good as I could have hoped for, better in some cases. Yes, the 3dmark score is poor, but that means nothing. I'm getting relatively playable frame ...

Also, what's your last count for total storage space? I swear you gotta be hoarding at least 10TB now. What the heck do you fill them with???

Hey just for reference how many posts are you up to now? I noticed you've basically posted in every hardware thread for the last 2 years. Gotta be pushing 30,000 posts by now methinks :P

I'm pretty good, thanks for asking. :) Contemplating reformatting at least 2 machines as the OS is about 1-2 years running and I'm also thinking about a little rebuild for the kiddies machine. They need something in their bedroom to be able to play with. lol.

Have good one mate!!

Ok I sat around last night and had some thought's which I believe were confirmed by anouther person on tom's hardware

so here you go:

I thought if you up voltage to CPU to overclock it [giving it more power to go faster] and if you have to raise voltage on memory to install 1066Mhz ram [usualy from1.8v to 2.1 v for 1066 ] which gives it power to go faster

then if I turn down multiplier and raise the voltage to memory then I should be able to get some more out of it

maybe not 4.0Ghz but I was hoping to hit maybe 3.91Ghz 435/1740 FSb or 3.96Ghz 440/1760 FSB

please check my thinking and let me know
