  Its expensive to get started. You've got to buy board, bindings, goggles, helmet, coat, pants, lift tickets, gas to get up there, food up there is not cheap.... but once you have all your gear and get a season pass... its not expensive at all.

  I think you forgot the booths. lol. How much is your snowboard? (Include Binding and booths) I heard you can get pretty good one for $300. I though you didn't need a helmet.. and can't you bring your own food?

  My board was $500 plus $130 on bindings and $150 on boots. You are going to wish you were wearing a helmet if you don't and yea you can bring your own food.

  I just went to sport shop and the helmet cost $60!!!! For a helmet.... It's all big and uncompatable. So $300 snowboard is crap than.

  first off, do yourself a favor and get a helmet. second; you can get a rad board for $300. Actually the board i'm getting for next season is only 350. just keep in mind your gonna need bindings and such. ONe thing you might look into is getting a used board thats already set up with bindings and everything. that way you get a feel for the sport and if you don't like it your not out 700 bucks! Ebay has some really good deals on a lot of the apparel. I bought a brand new 300 dollar jacket on ebay for 70 bucks... can't beat that!

  I'm thinking of getting snowboard,booths,binding for only $360. Is this a good deal? This guy said the board is pretty sweet.

  what kind of board, boots and bindings are you looking at? It really depends a lot on the condition of everything... before you buy it make sure you check it out. look at the bottom of the board. see if theres any large cuts or gashes in it. small ones are ok (like small small) because the wax will fill it in. if the gashes are too deep you'll have to p-tex (not easy if you don't know what your doing)... if they are too too deep your SOL and they'll slow you down big time. Also check out the metal edges the go around the edges of the board. make sure there is no rust on em.

  I should mention that now and the beginning of next season are the best times to buy boards as shops are getting rid of last years shit. I'm not sure where you live so I don't know what your seasons are... I guess if you live in North America now and the beginnin of next fall are the best times to buy.
