The China trip is a dream come true. We see the hi-lights of Shanghai, Beijing, xian, Wuhan and finish off with 4 days in Hong Kong. We get to see Pandas in their natural enviroment, walk the great wall and see the terracotta warriors up close and personal. all in all I just can't wait. 2 weeks and counting. The last 8 months since it was booked has flown past and these last few weeks seem an eternity. I will post more pictures as I delve into my archives.
Having seen the Eagles and the Phillies I still have to see the sixers (basketball) and the Flyers (ice hockey), I live in hope.

Hi Gerry, thanks for dropping by. I do like to travel that's for sure. The world is an interesting place and I like to get out and about and experience all that I can. Seeing new things and meeting new people is fun and educational. As to the American football, one of our tv stations picked it up and started showing hi-lights late in the evenings once a week about 20 years ago. I caught the bug. I played rugby for 15 years and loved the physicality of the sport and saw a similarity in the American football. Now we have 2 live games on a Sunday evening and live late monday/early tuesday game depending on kick off times. The first game I remember seeing 20 years ago featured the Philadelphia Eagles and I fell in love with them then. I have followed them from afar ever since and coming over to see them was a real hi-light for me and a dream come true. On one of my other visits I got to see the Phillies play baseball on a cold april day when we had to hide under a blanket t o keep warm. We do get an awful lot of American sports on the tv now on various satelite stations so have seen quite a lot of the basketball and hockey. We have a local hockey team around here that plays in the UK national league, I may even get along to a game one day. I do get to see our local rugby team when I can. Northampton Saints play in the Guiness Priemier league and hopefully they are in line for some silverware this year. As far as soccer (our football) I have been a Tottenham Hotspur supporter from a very early age for my sins andhopefully they will do well this year also. So as you can see I am a traveller who likes his sport and who embraces other peoples lives and cultures. Once again thanks for dropping by, Pete.

Hi Tocool, Just saw your shout. I've been watching the score tick along on the net as the two live games being shown over here in the UK are not the Eagles...showing 24-10 in the 4th so looks like we're in for the first win off the season proper....Go Eagles !!!!

I enjoyed your China pictures very much. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get here, the pace on this master's degree this past week was brutal.
