Way To Reflash A Phat PSP To 3.71 M33-4 Custom Firmware Through The Recovery Folder

This Helps You Out If Your PSP Semi Bricks.

First go to your recovery menu and toggle USB.

Then download this file HERE

After download is done, Unzip the file named UPDATE.RAR and you'll have a folder named UPDATE.

After you've unzip these files go back to your psp memory through the USB.

And go to the PSP folder than into your GAME folder and create a folder named RECOVERY.

After done so, go into the folder named UPDATE (that you downloaded) and open it.

Then put all the files that are in there, inside the RECOVERY folder in your GAME folder.

Ok, after all that is over with.

All 3 files (371.PBP - EBOOT - umodule.prx)should be in the folder called recovery that you made in your GAME folder.

Before you do this next step make sure that your battery is 75% or above....i guess you can check it on your slim psp.

Go back to the recovery menu and press run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP.

And fallow on screen instructions.

When the 3.71 M33 updater is done and your psp is back to normal go to the game menu on your XMB and run this M33 Update which will update your psp to 3.71 M33-4.

This is the one you have been reading about-The one where you can:

** upgrade slims to 3.71-2 M33
** upgrade phat to 3.71-2 M33 w/ 1.50-2 kernel patch
** downgrade phat to 1.50
** upgrade phat straight to 3.52 M33 from Extended Boot Menu then install update 4 no need to downgrade to 1.50
** start up PSP with Ultimate Loader with support For choosing which Pandora's you reach V1 or V3(by hold L trigger)
** boot to XMB (Phat Only)
** boot to a full 1.50 from Mem Stick (Phat Only)
** use PSPFiler and other tools (If it requires 1.50 slims can't)

Before you get started, you will need:
1> A psp with custom firmware already installed
2> A battery you want to convert to a Pandora (yes,it can be converted back)
3> A spare memory stick PRO DUO (256MB-2GB)
4>1.50, and 3.71 official $ony firmware updates
5>The installer which can be found HERE, or HERE

Getting Started:
1>Format your memory stick(from the psp menu)-{make sure you back up any game saves, MP3's, etc, beforehand}that you plan to use as the UPMS
2>Go into USB mode and delete all but the ISO, and PSP folders
3>While in USB mode-copy the UPMS installer.cso into your ISO folder
4>Copy the 1.50 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 150.PBP
5>Copy the 3.71 update to the root of your memory stick-named as 371.PBP
6>Run the UPMS program from the XMB as you would an ISO or cso. (make sure your NO-UMD is set correctly in recovery mode-SONY NP9660)
7>Follow the steps in order (1-4)from the UPMS program {If you already have a Pandora battery set up, you can skip step #2 in the installer}

-For best results, follow each step in order and as follows:>>NOTE: This applies to a full version install<<
Step#1-Select the 'sleep fix Multi-IPL' option
Step#2-Backup your eeprom, then create Your battery
Step#3-Install UPMS with utilities (slowest)-It may take a while-Please be patient. (This will install the extras from step #4)
Step#4-Skip this step if you used the 'full version' installer and selected 'Install UPMS w/ utilities from step #3 (If you used the 'Limited' version-you will have to install the programs seperately.)

To use it, remove the ms, battery, and a charger is running. Insert the memory stick into the PSP. Hold down the L-TRIGGER and then insert the battery. HOLD THE L_TRIGGER until you see the main menu. If its a slim, you will only have one option:install 3.71 M33-2. If you use this on a phat, you will have many options. You can experiment all you want with the options, because nothing is harmful.

These procedurs work on any custom firmware Phat/Slim.

Then take the eboot thats in there and put in the recovery folder that you've created in your GAME folder.

Guide for 3.71 M33 themes and 3.71

Installing PTF Themes:

First.) create a folder called THEME in the PSP folder of you memory stick

Second.) download ptf themes and put them on the folder called THEME

Third.) on your psp, go to theme settings and go to full themes (first option out of 3)

Fourth.) choose the theme you want and just press x and then yes

And you'll have a new theme

Here is a link to all of the folders and files that are needed to unbrick or downgrade your PsP down to 1.50

My Pandora Memory Stick Folders And Files

The only thing you need to do..is do the partition of the memory stick via your computer using mspformat.exe

The Following Pandora Pack I Got From Igizmore:

Pandora pack..with MSPFORMAT in it is a link to a Pandora pack..in there you can find the mspformat.exe

you do not have to mess with the msinst.exe because the msipl.bin is already in the Pandora files that you downloaded in the very first link

These next steps on how to use MSPFormat i got from a Pandora guide at Igizmore:

1) Connect you PSP to the PC via USB cable .

2) Now in you computer go to START > RUN and type in CMD and click on OK . A black box will pop out .

2) Here’s kinda the confusing part . your computer might show C:\ or C:\Documents and Setting\Your Username> … Copy the location of the msformat picture here , paste it followed by the drive letter of your PSP (eg my psp drive removable disk (F:) the letter is F )

Now if your PC shows C:/ in your CMD copy the address bar and paste it in followed by the letter of your psp drive .

C:\Documents and Settings\Your username\Desktop\PANDORA\mspformat\mspformat.exe F

IF you PC shows C:\Documents and Setting\Your Username> copy the address bar and paste it in followed by the letter of your psp drive

C:\Documents and Setting\Your Username>Desktop\PANDORA\mspformat\mspformat.exe F

3) Keep trying till you get this prompt :

>>> C:\Documents and Setting\Username>Desktop\PANDORA\mspformat\mspformat.exe F

>>> You are about to format the drive .

>>> All Data will be lost . Do you want to continue? [Y]
Then you type in y and you will see

>>> Drive successfully formatted, and partition moved.

After you have successfully formatted and partitioned your memory stick.

Just copy all the files from the very first link i gave you to your memory stick exactly the way they are and you should have a Pandora memory stick

Many people have asked for other people's Pandora files so here they are

This isn't a guide to make a Pandora memory stick from scratch its already been used by me several times.

Hope y'all would give me your opinion on this and also on how to make this better.

3.52 M33-4 Firmware

Phat PSP Only

Here are the two things you'll need

3.52 M33-4

and

Kxploit But Only If Your On 1.50

first

unzip each file

then put the M33UPDATE_352 folder in your GAME folder

then put the %kxploitpatcher and the kxploitpatcher folders also in the GAME folder

then put the M33Update4 folder in the game150 folder

GAME folder should be in mso:/psp/

GAME150 folder should be in mso:/psp/

you probably already know

well now go to your 1.50 psp and run the kxploitpatcher and dont worry about the corrupted file that it show just run kxploitpatcher and fallow instructions

then after is done run the 3.52 m33 update

after that is done go to the game menu once again and run the M33 update

and you should have 3.52 M33-4

enjoy..!!
