hahahaha Thank you...ARG....now I'm gonna die a year sooner D: hahahah all the more reason to party. lol so hows your life going (besides the teeth D:)
Thankya ! I am enjoying seeing them again myself . I'm using this as an excuse to get out some of my retired and less frequently seen guitars . More on the way !
Yes ! I want one myself - the red V is one of my favorites ! I played it on all my earlier recordings in the 80s and most of the Project : Brainstorm sessions and shows . That one is always my first choice when it's time for a serious gig or recording !
don't you mean the rain in spain falls mainly on the plane...(plain?)? x) sorry i have no idea what you people are talking about.....anyway! yes the graphics are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better and almost every thing in those pics are downloaded lololol i have i think roughly 1670 or so downloaded objects D: mabey more...anyway its like 5 pages xDDD but it makes the game more interesting ollolol you have to come see all the shit i have on their. hahah
Thankya ! I hope it's OK to do it this way ! I thought having a link to the songs at MP3lizard right here on the main page might make them more easy to find . The music / lyric blog also has a link to my MP3lizard page . 8 )
you know, I'm trying to figure out why since you have lots of pictures here with a score of 5 and 4 votes for them, they aren't bumping my picture off the image of the day. They are tied with the same number of votes and same total score.. you'd think we'd be getting more guitars up there. I miss the guitar pictures being up on image of the day.
the problem at the moment seems to be we're tied at 4 with a lot. Why it doesn't cycle through the tied ones I don't know. Someone else out there must love cool guitars enough to vote too.
I think there are way more visitors than votes & comments . ( I hand out cards at gigs with my website addy ! ) My downloads are way up since starting the blog page here - over 4200 now !
Most likely it's a matter of visitors not wanting to have to register to comment or vote . That part is sort of necessary so people dont vote over and over , and also to help weed out anonymous users posting offensive things .
If you are a visitor , registering is free & easy . This site doesn't send spam , only an info newsletter and you do have the choice of opting out of that even . Registering is cool - you can vote on the pictures and make comments but the fun doesn't stop there ! An AfterDawn membership also gives you a free blog page like this one and a page at MP3lizard.com to post original music as well as entry to all the AfterDawn sites and forums of computer help etc .
The blog page is very easy to use ! If anyone has questions on how-to I'd be glad to help or direct you to someone who can . If you'd like to register with AfterDawn.com , this [ link ] will get you started !
I agree. The increase in the rate of downloads shows that. Those of us already participating here would love to see more of you doing so. It is lots of fun, free and very easy.
[ link ] ok this time I wrote this as a Word document and saved it as I went so I wouldn't accidentally lose the whole thing like I did last night before I could post it.
yow ! Definite woody ! Yes - that's the "madman" - it's a Dean Hardtail USA set-neck mahogany satin finish chainsaw ! One of the most aggressive sounding guitars I've ever played . I'm sure it has polite sounds too but I didn't look for them 8 )
Yes it is - the finish is really nice - it feels more like just plain wood than a slick painted feel . The sound though - wow ! I usually don't like Seymour Duncan pickups but the ones in the Hardtail absolutely rip ! To me most Duncans usually sound muddy but these in the Hardtail are fierce ! Very lively , good clarity , barks like a dog ! Gotta love it !
Vintage Guitar magazine says a Seymour Duncan JB bridge & Duncan ’59 neck pickup - the ones on that particular model are satin finish not chrome and look really good with the other matte finish hardware ! I guess now I have to get out the ol checkerboard and compare the 80s JB to one of these ! Here is another one in gloss BraziliaBurst and shiny chrome
That's the set that I have in the Necromancer (JB/'59), and I have a JB in the Kelly as well. Although now that I've had the Dimarzio Evolutions in the Jem, I think that has become my favorite pickup.
I can see why Vai likes 'em so much, they are rediculously expressive.
OH YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAH I'm trying out to be in tech crew for our schools choir next year aaaaaaand thats a goood thin gbecause we have one of the best choirs in the state and country and that means i get to go to new York and stuff with them, besides getting to be a geek and hanging around with all the tech guys xD ahhahah
re: emossuck-- yeah, when she was really little her uncle was putting her and her cousin to work hooking up the gear for his band so she's going to be a great roadie for the choir!
hahaha @ "geekyerer" 8 ) 8 ) 8 ) good luck on the tech crew thingie !
and now - back to our regularly scheduled pointy guitars ! Yowzah ! It's a Dean - o - rama -
And it gets even better... here is last week's top 5 Metal:
1. Mark Palangio: "Jester Race - 5150"
2. -PROJECT : BRAINSTORM-: "Hemorrhage ( JJ's Fuel Audition ! )"
3. Wolf-Gain: "VHT Demo"
4. Hapless: "leper messiah"
5. Mark Palangio: "Intro - 5150"
wow ! serious inlay ! [ link ]
This guitar features an elaborate, abalone rose inlay displaying the Warner Brothers’ logo in the head stock. The vine inlay in the finger board is comprised of more than 120 pieces of abalone and mother-of-pearl, featuring Bugs Bunny in the fifth fret. The top of the instrument has a hand-painted pattern replicating tooled leather, with more Warner Brothers’ cartoon characters hidden throughout the design.
Wow it would be a lot more fun to go to the bank here if they had that on their computers! Guess they have different workplace rules out there. :P Yes we all wish we looked like that. Several months of being off the steroidal asthma meds and the gym is helping a lot. But when it was a choice of breathing vs not breathing, it's always better to keep breathing. Meanwhile. let's just ask the
girl in the picture over to play :) :) Betting that would be all the fun
Me either - I sight by the dot markers and having them off-center really throws me off . If you notice most of my guitars have plain centered dots ! My Dean ML has blocks and the BC Rich Bich has clouds , but I am fond enough of those two guitars to work around that . And now for something completely different -
Yes indeedy ! Thanks to everyone for downloading / listening to my stuff and for visiting the pages here ! ( all 5000 - woohoo !!! )
More pointy guitars and more metal on the way !
Independent metal RULES ! \m/. . \m/
Thankya ! I have been building and modifying guitars for almost as long as I've been playing - it's always cool to see someone into that !
When I first started playing in the 70's , guitars , effects and amps were not near as advanced as they are now . I demand a lot from my gear so I've definitely had to resort to a lot of do - it - yourselfing ! Good luck !
Thanks for the comment Brainstorm it sure as hell is something iam going to remember....i thought you only modified them..but it turns out you build them..I want to get started..but iam having faincial problems..
When i come across money for atleast a router and a belt sander...iam going to buy all the other tools like a Hand Saw and Clamps and stuff. but i already have a Power Drill. So yea..but i dont know exactly how to get started. I have a book but i wouldnt know the Easiest 1st route to take...

I have been sidelined for a couple of weeks but I do have some gigs coming up over the next few months ( woohoo ! ) I'm also working on a new song to put on MP3Lizard soon .
I'll have more pictures in the meantime and more stuff for the guitar blog too !
How many bluegrass musicians does it take to change a light bulb? Five... One to change the bulb, and four to complain that it is ELECTRIC!
Dan Neff - Guitar, Bluegrass Guitar - Indianapolis, Indiana
Steve Wright: I play the harmonica. The only way I can play is if I get my car going really fast, and stick it out the window. I've been arrested three times for practicing.
ok, one more.... In the 22nd century..how many guitarists will it take to replace a light source ??
Five..one to actually do it ...and four to reminisce about how much better the old tubes were.
Nice picture Emossuck! Wishing your phone cam had better resolution so we could see your KISS action figures up there next to the speakers! Brainstorm, thanks again for the advice last Christmas in getting her that guitar.
I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.
George Eliot (1819 - 1880)
That's what I was thinking after the "Master of Puppets pop-quiz" - I was having a blast playing along with that stuff and didnt even realize how long I had been at it ! Afterward it was all "ouch ! serious workout ! " ( It really does give you some major adrenaline and momentum - I do wish I could be that way 24-7 ! )
PS Thanks Liz for the Digitech RP80 ! That is a very cool tool - it's got a lot of good sounds and is quite the inspirational practice rig ! I'm enjoying it a lot !
>:D<
ahhahahah sure thing; I had no need for a second one. it was funny watching you stop after playing Master of Puppets to shake out your arm x) I liked Joseph's comment, "OH! I didn't know playing
guitar made you sweat?!" xDDDD ha kids
D:
I was about that age when I figured it out - I played acoustic guitars for several years before discovering light strings , distortion , etc , all the things that make playing easier . By then I had serious hand strength so I was able to rip on electrics and get really physical with it head to toe !
PS - I still have all 3 spots on top image of the day ! Thanks for the votes ! [ link ]
Click this [ link ] to hear or download it ! Thanks for the downloads and positive votes !!!
Stay tuned - NEW!!! "Project : Brainstorm - Favorite L.A. Guitar Stores" ( and more ) pictures all week ! More very cool guitar mods on the way too !!!

Hello! Translation was almost right, it's about like: your movie random reflect night time x)
Had to admit, like your music, allthougt i'm more to blues myself :)
"I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another.
No more walls."
Anais Nin(French born American Author of novels and short stories, 1903-1977)
I took this poll today ( what kind of guitar are you?) [ link ] and this was my result:
You're a Jackson RR1! The Flying-V model custom-built for Randy Rhoads and put into mass production a year after his death in 1982, this heavy-metal machine has become a symbol in the hands of players like Kirk Hammett and Kerry King. You kick ass, dude
Check it out and let's see what kind of guitar it thinks you are!
No animal should ever jump up on the dining-room furniture unless absolutely certain that he can hold his own in the conversation.
Fran Lebowitz (1950 - )
You're a Gibson Les Paul! Known for your great playability and awesome and versatile sound, you're the industry standard; ideal for all kinds of music. Go you! On the downside, though, you can be really friggin' expensive.

I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark burn out in a brilliant blaze than it be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

104 degrees today.. ...............106 predicted for tomorrow................ it's been too damn hot for weeks.................................. head aches............. hate.....extreme.......heat................ grrrrr.............need ac in my car............................
It was 108 today and extremely humid. National Weather Service issued excessive heat warnings for today and tomorrow. Ugh. This is LA. We're not supposed to get humidity with our heat. Nor is it supposed to get this hot. That's for sucky parts of the country, not for us.
So let's see a picture of the new look for the blue Ibanez! It was fun shopping for ideas for it. Glad you were able to get the right stuff back home after we saw it out here.

I know it will take you forever to go through nearly a month's worth of emails that piled up while you were without an internet-useable computer so I thought you should be aware of this notice the afterdawn guys had in the newsletter:
Maintenance on AfterDawn.com servers
3 August 2006 1:49 by Ketola
The AfterDawn.com WWW servers will be brought down briefly on Thursday, August 10th between 05:00 and 11:00 UTC (1AM-7AM EDT) for power maintenance. The downtime is scheduled to last around 30 minutes between the given timeframe.
It's a bitch that you have to spend so many hours removing all the spyware and garbage before you can safely use a pre-owned computer online but that's life in today's world. So glad that job is done and you're back in the modern world again. Enjoy your much needed rest.
Ok so I guess that was a little premature.. still more to be done.
I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

These guys fooled the organizers of a fair in Montana and headlined the fair there. They claimed to be the band Redbone. " The fair board is investigating and will consult the county attorney, Chairman Dave Palmer said.
"The whole thing was fishy from the start," Palmer told The Montana Standard. Only two performers showed up at the fair, he said, and they claimed other band members were missing because they were sick with mumps. Local musicians filled in."
Earlier today when I looked the two images were the Dean ML Dimebag DBD FBD and the Dean Z USA Quilt Natural. The lineup has changed just since this afternoon but you still have two top images. Now it's the Dean ML Dimebag DBD FBD and the RKS.
wow Elizabeth has put up some Europe pictures on her page!
She went to Europe with three one gig memory cards for her camera. It takes 8 megapixel pictures and she bought another memory card in Slovakia because she had already filled the first three! I think we'll be enjoying a lot of picutres! OOO and you will love what she got you.
when you ptu posts in forums, some of the members have icons or pics that are in there posts.
how can i add one to mine?
so that when i post a pic will be there like other users.
Woohoo I'm going to the Def Leppard/Journey concert. Why? because I'm giving blood at the KLOS blood drive and they know how to treat their blood donors!
