A new car!

15 Jul 2007 20:06

So, I have been looking for a car that I could conduct Real Estate in. I have really liked "Audi" and thought it would be awesome to get one. Well I was looking around and after being disappointed with the results on eBay (all my local classifieds were way high, as in 70,000+, miles) I finally stumbled upon an A6.

I was debating between an A4 and an A6 for quite a while. The A6 has more room but that means its weights more and has a bigger engine which means its less gas efficient (not by much though) as well as the fact its tank is bigger, which means its more expensive to fill up not to mention the requirement for premium gas due to its high-quality and high-compression engine.

So, I found an A6, with between 40-45k miles, that was about 30 minutes away from my house. It was on eBay but it was real close so I went and took a look with my dad. We took it for a test drive and I really liked it. It drove well and didn't have anything that stuck out that was a cause for distaste or concern. Its gold, but its not glaring and it seems to "Fly under the radar" in the fact that it doesn't command attention. Its exactly what I was looking for.

The car has light-colored leather in it and it seems to have been taken care of. Due to the sometimes scary (and real snowy) winters that I get around my area I needed something that would be good in the snow when needed, which was another reason I looked into an Audi. My uncle says his is real great in the snow and will "Find traction any place it can, even if your trying to spin it out in snow or ice".

It should serve me well, I have seen multiple listings on eBay with more then 80k miles so I know that it will go and go for a long time when properly taken care of. I will get some pictures of it soon and post them for everyone to see.

I haven't come up with a name yet, although I have only owned it since Saturday. I like the Greek gods theme I used with my truck (I named him Zeus) and my friend named his car Thor, I think, so I am trying to come up with a name for it. It doesn't really seem like a "Male" car, but I am not sure yet.

Anyway, I will post pictures of it in the next few days. I will probably take a few pictures tomorrow after I wash it as it just rained today.

Peace
