Troublesome Ps2

(08 Apr 2008 21:25)

Well, I havent been to aD in a while, so im writing a blog? well, even if that doesnt make sense, ill still tell you about my fucked up PS2. I dont even use the bastard anymore now i got my 360. But as I couldnt find my Swap magic DVD Loader, things got fucking intresting. It took some manouvering you see, seeing how i rigged up my slimmy boy to keep its lid open. I still had my CD loader, So i went and after a fucking LOT of searching, i found cogswap and figured out how that went along. I finally got that working. So i grabbed a copy of the godfather. Burned onto 3 different DVDs (TYG02 x16 Verbs and some Cheap-o ones) So, I slap in my CD loader, wait for that to boot, swap discs to the copied cogswap, then i get a damn cogswap screen, ive never seen this before. Took me about 2 weeks to figure this out as sad as that is. Mind you, i did sleep. So, swap CD loader. Pop in cogswap, lift up the tape and ball of tissue i had on the lid sensor closest to the reset button, so my PS2 thinks the lid opened for real. Put in GTA : Vice city and then fasten the tape over the sensor again. Let that read and then press X... Swap for my godfather DVD #1 which coincidentally failed. #3 failed but #2 worked. The verbs came through strong, surprisingly. But after having to do that shit every time. I gave up on backups.. And played the godfather 100% :D
