  Hi Noely, could you please help with the following Box Super problem. I've downloaded software 7.05 and in 'favourite all' I have many categories. the problem is that I cannot seem to add or delete categories. I want to delete all categories, have a list of all channels in ALL only, and then rename favourite 1, 2, 3 etc according to what I want to call them. Perhaps you would be kind enough to advise.   Hey Noel U seem like an expert regarding the starviw3 box. Just took delivery of my new one and cant seem to tune in the stations? I select NTL and auto scan and it finds 180 + however only the FTA ones are available? The rest are scrambled. Im probably not doing something very obvious as im a complete novice to this but if you can point me in the right direction or offer any advice as to how i can unlock the stations id really appreciate it.

  you need to flash the box Rod with the 7.09 Beta.
  click on the updating starview boxes link at the top of the page & follow the guide. Best of Luck.

  Noel, I've been looking through the forum and I see that you're a bit of an expert on the starview boxes. I wonder if you could shed some light on a problem I've had since last saturday. I have 3 the box super boxes and last saturday evening all three just stopped working. There is no signal showing and when i try doing an auto scan i get nothing (even after a factory restore). I'm in county Galway and was using the N*L mmds signal. Has something happened to make the boxes stop working and is there any solution,

  liam, if all three boxes stopped working at the same time & (no signal) i`d say its a fault with your cable co. mate. theres probably a problem in your area.

  Dont remember advising you to update a digivox Robarto, but anyway check the batteries in the remote first & try again. If its still the same then 1668 should do the trick for you.

  Wayn3, Have a look at the link at the top of this page (updating starview boxes) & you`ll find all the info there (cables, usb adaptors, etc) thanks to celtic71. you`ll need the 7.09 Beta firmware for the box super (SV3).
  You`ll find this in eamos library, in the box super folder at the top of this page also. Best of luck ;)

  Menu 1570, turn emu OFF. Exit to channel, & wait till you see data being updated. Menu 1570, Set Default key first, then turn emu on exit out & let it update.
  If it stays at 0%, go up one channel & it should kick in.

  If, as i suspect there is no firmware fix to date for this, will there be one? and if so the likely timeframes? In the meantime, you mention manual input yet when i found these on keymaster they didn't work, unless of course the muppet inputting them got it wrong.
  
  I would like to thank you in advance and hope this reaches you as an earlier attempt to contact a senior member via PM seemed to have failed.

  Noel Hate to be a pain but...
  I have just tried to sort my programmes but. When I go into the Channel Edit the Sort button and the Move button are greyed out. All other buttons are fine. Is this a fault with the Box - or is it something I have missed?

  noelyf, i was just wondering if you can help me out i have 7 sv4 boxes i got before christmas i tried to flash 3 of them and got the dreaded 8882 error i sent them three bck to my supplier and they sent me three new ones but since then i read as much as i can about flashing them with the usb stick and i tried one and the same thing happened i have flashed the sv2 and 3 no problem but cant get these going . even if you know someone that would do them for a fee as i live in bray and work in dublin

  got a starview 3, and lost all channels the other night apart from standard freeview channels.

  Hi Tufail
  Make sure the coaxial cable is in cable input at the back of the box & your scart is in the TV slot on the box & secure.
  
  If you are using any splitters remove them & scan from the main feed.

  you seem to know what your talking about just wondering if you can answer a questyion for me, i have SV 4 USB and updated new file in last two weeks and everything was hunky dory as bernard dunne would say but in last 24 hours some channels have started to act up like a block pixilation has started to appear. Do you know is this happening elsewhere (my loc Dub west) if so is there a fix for it or am i stuffed

  is there a way to put the factory software back onto a box??? i have starview 5 but when the firmware 2.03 was placed onto it, the picture began getting scrambled and such. But the other two boxes i have worked fine. Is there anything i can do or any software i can install to take it back down to factory settings etc.
