hey Niobis, just one question, I like to learn how to read HJT logs. Do you have any idea where I can educate myself on it.

Niobis - I found your guide to removing w32.Myzor.FK@yf. This malicious piece of crap had been really BUGGING my PC, thing is I am not at all into my computers technology, I just use the thing - everyday for work. Your guide was (relatively) simple to follow and has worked. I registered with afterdawn just to say thanks. I don't who you are or where you live but have a cyber beer on me. I have now got the trial AVG software (30 days) and I have installed Norton Antivirus, what happens to quarantined stuff on AVG after the trial period and do I need to load anything else. Hope to hear from you but either way BIG THANKS. Russ

Hey Niobis, i seem to have a problem with my computer. I have read the old thread that you posted, your guides are very simple and clear. I am hoping you could help me with the problem i'm having as well.

For two days now, I am not able to access to 'My Computer', or any sub folders in 'My Computer'. When I click the icon, 'My Computer' widow will open for at least 5 seconds and it will automatically closes itself. Further more my desktop icons and my task bars disappear. So I have to hit CtrlAltDel -- new tab -- type in explorer.exe, and my desktops icons and task bars are working again. But 'My computer' window is no longer open.

I have scanned my computer for several times, with the help of Adaware, Cclearner. Currently I'm using NOD32.

I like to know if there is any solution to solve this problem. Thank you in advance, and hope to hear from you.

    Jean

I dont know if I try the same solution, and I'm glad you said that formatting it's not necessary in this case.
Although I'm from Brazil and I try hard to understang everything in English
If you could help me, I'll be so glad.
It beggins after my great ideia to download a crack, and it was a virus.
So, I download avast but it didn´t see the virus... I check the memory stuffs, and it didn´t show any trouble. But in each 2 hours, the blue screen came :/

can I try what you said in that forum?
I'm not that good in computers by the way :/

    thank you in advance ;)
