  Since I'm a newbie on afterdawn.com forums I was unable to post to the January discussion on sound quality. Never owned a MP3 player, but my 4 Grand kids got iPods for Xmas and tell me I'm living in the dark ages without one. A search for best sound brought me to that discussion. I wear hearing aids now, but never liked ear buds. I was complaining to my audiologist and he showed me his iPod. For about $100. bucks the company will make custom molded ear pieces into which the ear buds firmly fit. The sound is directed directly into thr ear ecanal near the ear drum by the ear piece. He said any hearing aid company can make them to fit any size ear bud. When I buy a player and ear buds based on the suggestions in the forum, I'll let you know how it works out. Maybe others have had these made and can report on them. I've never seen them mentioned.

  hey Neph! congrats on getting hitched, and I would love to see you back here. I myself just started posting again. it seems like most of the people from a few years ago are gone. you are definately needed and it would be great to see some old friends back here...

  Hey, can you help me out? I need to know if there is a free fully usable dvd ripper out there so I can rip full movies and back them up on a hard drive.
