I'm 18 at the time (I have a summer birthday coming up). I go to Illinois State University during the spring and fall; I'm studying for a degree in Applied Computer Science. I joined AfterDawn when one of my friends told me that I should hack my PS2, and that this site w;as the place to look for information. I like Guitar Hero, and I've customized a version of Guitar Hero II so that I can play whatever song I feel like.

This summer, I hope to get a job, finish my A+ certification tome (it's a big book), and take up jogging every day.

I've never had a 'gaming rig,' but that's about to change. This fall, I'm going to use student loans to build a new computer. I'm talking about 4 gigs of ram, 2 8800GTs hooked up with SLI, 500 GB storage, the works. As of now, I have a laptop that can't play a lot of games.

Now playing: Half-Life
Forever going to be listening to: 70s/80s Classic Rock (Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc.)

You should know that Electromagnetic Radiation travels at the speed of light. The atmosphere will slow them down a smidgen but you couldn't detect it. So cable or dish should theoretically be same in speed. I also prefer cable but because of reliability. I see I'm first here also. Howdy! :)

Hmm... I did not know that.

Interesting factoids be in my shoutbox today!

Also, I the reliability is the second reason... a buried cable is basically a guarantee that you're going to get your service; suspended cables (telephone poles) also tend to go down a lot less / cause less fuzzies than Satellite does.
