how do you know if you need edited firmware. I read that if you have a VIA you do. That is what i have where can i get the edited firmware. Thanks

Hi i joined Giganews for 360 games for my hacked box. however im having trouble getting the whole games and seems to not be many on there. also i d/l a whole one and it was complete but it extracted to just a single large file, normally i have 2 one is a small image and one is the bulk. i tried buring the image i got with colne cd but it doesnt work. any advice?

conesobn, pretty much every game release has been posted and I pulled down most of them from the newsgroups using either Giganews or my ISPs news server. Some games need to be patched. Check the NFO file. If its says burn and play do just that. Use par2s to fix broken files.

soodii burn with clonecd, use vertabims. If youre game has a dvd file then its patched and burned that. clonecd knows what to with the multiple files. Im not sure what burner you have. you may need to set it to dvd-rom with dvdinfopro.
how can i see if it does a dvd files ?

Set the folder view to detail and look at the file type and see if burnout revenge says dvd file.
it says dvd file ,but when i try to burn it with clone cd it says :ERROR OPENING FILE IMAGE.000
THE FILE WAS NOT FOUND Any idea why i get that. ps:thank you very much for your help ,i managed to burn 2 games without a probleme ,but this one is giving me a bit of troubles

No DVD file most likely means the game isnt patched with the security sector. Youll need to patch it with a good SS file. I use SS Merger with NET framework to patch in the past. Also if it shows up red in SS merger I believe that means its an ISO that wont work even when patched. Any game that came out after july floating around out there should already be patched.

Any game that youd download that came out after July should already be patched and ready to burn with CloneCD. You wont need to worry about SS on those. If an game isnt region free isnt not running on any 360s other than those from its own region. It doesnt matter if its a back up and you have the xtreme firmware going. It still wont work.
heeem you say i cant use 1 game wit region for pal xbox360 in j xbox360? even i use j region for it? :( dude can you say me when i go for dl ntsc/j game?

No you can use same region games on your 360. Some games arent region coded. So far off the top of my head activion, ubisoft, thq and sega games are not region coded. They can be play on any system. MS, EA, are Capcom region coded. They can only be played on the same region system. There are other game makers too, but I cant remember them all. Please proof read you questions so I can easily understand what youre asking.
ok listen plz if i have 1 game with NTSC/U region then can i use J ragion for this game and use this game in J Xbox360?
