  right my dvd burner is a lite-on dvdrw shw-160p6s and i was told to set it in dvdinfo pro to burn my games in dvd rom but when i try hiting the +rw it says not supported bitsetting can u help me out

  i just put a dvd 5 in and it says it all ready set in dvd rom do i just change this when i want to back up films to normal or dvd r to do back up of films or just leave it and when i got to back up a game i just click it on to dvd -rom and open up clone cd but for the dvd rom to work i need dvd 9 dl discs for it to work

  Hi i joined Giganews for 360 games for my hacked box. however im having trouble getting the whole games and seems to not be many on there. also i d/l a whole one and it was complete but it extracted to just a single large file, normally i have 2 one is a small image and one is the bulk. i tried buring the image i got with colne cd but it doesnt work. any advice?

  conesobn, pretty much every game release has been posted and I pulled down most of them from the newsgroups using either Giganews or my ISP's news server. Some games need to be patched. Check the NFO file. If it's says burn and play do just that. Use par2s to fix broken files.

  soodii burn with clonecd, use vertabims. If you're game has a dvd file then it's patched and burned that. clonecd knows what to with the multiple files. I'm not sure what burner you have. you may need to set it to dvd-rom with dvdinfopro.

  Set the folder view to detail and look at the file type and see if burnout revenge says dvd file.

  it says dvd file ,but when i try to burn it with clone cd it says :ERROR OPENING FILE IMAGE.000
  THE FILE WAS NOT FOUND
  Any idea why i get that.

  No DVD file most likely means the game isn't patched with the security sector. You'll need to patch it with a good SS file. I use SS Merger with NET framework to patch in the past. Also if it shows up red in SS merger I believe that means it's an ISO that won't work even when patched. Any game that came out after july floating around out there should already be patched.

  Any game that you'd download that came out after July should already be patched and ready to burn with CloneCD. You won't need to worry about SS on those. If an game isn't region free isn't not running on any 360s other than those from it's own region. It doesn't matter if it's a back up and you have the xtreme firmware going. It still won't work.

  No you can use same region games on your 360. Some games aren't region coded. So far off the top of my head activion, ubisoft, thq and sega games are not region coded. They can be play on any system. MS, EA, are Capcom region coded. They can only be played on the same region system. There are other game makers too, but I can't remember them all. Please proof read you questions so I can easily understand what you're asking.

  Ive never listened to them, but I know of the shared name from that bassist. I actually took my name from Mennoch the Devil in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicals and spelled it different. Around page 4 or so of this thread they start talking about the bad flash recovery. That's method to use from what I heard. I haven't had to flash one yet. I may end up do one in the next couple of days though.

  i have a problem , i get the xbox 360 in mode b through slax and a sata to usb link. the problem i get is when using maximus tool box 3.0 . my hitachi 0078fk drive is recognized but when i try to raw memory dump ( after i put in a game and wait 20 seconds) the program stops responding
  what could be the prob?

Im not sure if that makes a difference but I have a Hitachi and as of 9:30 May 23. I can still play online with my backups. Im not sure why I havent got banned yet.

  It's a good chance they just didn't get to you yet. If you haven't played backups before their street dates you shouldn't have any red flags on you. There's about 6 million users on Xbox Live. They aren't checking out everyone, but if you draw attention to yourself can bet you'll be watched.

  I saw a couple of people say they were on Maxconsole. Plus seeing the way I couldn't format the hard drive one the new 360 until I format one the 1st one made me decide it's better to be safe than sorry. Check the bottom of this page and then onto the next.

  There are a lot of people and myself, who wana know that, once we get the xbox 360 game downloaded from the internet and the info files says that it has the the security sectors in it(ss.bin dmi.bin and pfi.bin), instead of just unraring it and burning with clodecd, can we burn it with dvd decrypter or imgburn and if we can do we have to do that "LayerBreak stuff".

  Personally I like to the delete the DVD files and just burn the ISO with ImgBurn. Sometimes downloaded games have the wrong DVD files and ImgBurn will go for the DVD file automatically if its in the same folder as the ISO. Once you set the layer for the 1st time in ImgBurn it will always be the same layer break until you change it and all 360 games have the same layer break.
  
  And yes Kman you can make a 1:1 copy. I copy the ISO to my hard with ImgBurn (read mode) and then burn it with ImgBurn (write mode).

  whats up man. i have the precision version of mvc2 i used mulleter 10.2 to make a dvd-9 version. gave me a iso and dvd file. the thing is there is no ss pfi or dmi present. please let me know if u have them or the correct way u di dit with mulleter, thanks again.

  hey mate i read ur post on modding the 0078fk drive and was hoping u could help me, i think i'v tried everything. I now have 2 sata cards in the computer the first was a sil and i found out they weren't that compatible i bought a via vt6421a. when using the sil sata card the drive will go into mode b but never shows up in windows. when using the vi card the drive will not go into mode b. i have the connectivity kit and have tried both connecting with that and connecting using the 360 as the power supply. both cards seem to work properly, i have tested them with drives plugged in. i cant think of anything else i can try. does the version of windows matter? i am running a modified copy of xp. are there any clashes with vista?

  You're card could be faulty. Maybe try the other port on the card. I'm not sure if things have change, but as far as I know the VIA chipsets are the only ones that with work with the Hitchi 0078. I hear there are conflicts with Vista. I wouldn't know first hand since I'm using XP.

  Hey mate, got the recovery pack, I'm having trouble running the wad installers though, when i select wii SD slot I get device error (once i'm inside the wad manager or ios16 manager).
