Corrupt ASPI and how to fix it.

31 Mar 2006 12:33 (Edited: 31 Mar 2006 12:33)

This may be one of the easiest ways to fix an aspi problem.
If you see WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=?.?.?.?, size=30208 bytes, created 11/06/1997 18:01:02
and those question marks show up for your version number, then you have a corrupt ASPI.
Here are a couple of threads where the easy way to fix it is used. One is for a Nero 6 corrupt aspi, and the other (i replied, but havent seen if this fixes it for the nero 7 one, but it should)

Nero 7 log:

The problem with using force aspi and the other methods, is sometimes the new aspi is not the same one being replaced, and the old aspi should really be removed completely by using killaspi or something like that .
If you copy a good version on to the same file thats corrupt, it seems to work and you dont go thru all the other things like installing the wrong aspi for your windows version.
