Riping UMD Disc with Built In Ripper for 3.52 M33/3.71 M33

06 Dec 2007 13:08 (Edited: 06 Dec 2007 13:08)

This guide will walk you through the steps for riping UMD Disc to PC using 3.52 M33/3.71 M33 custom firmware.

First step is bringing up the VSH menu. Do this by pressing HOME on 3.52 M33 or by pressing select on 3.71 M33.

If the VSH menu doesn't come up then you might need to enable it in the recovery menu.

Go into recovery menu (Turn off PSP and hold the R-Trigger button down while turning the PSP back on). Now go to configuration and go down the list till you see Use VSH Menu. Make sure it is enabled. Now exit out of recovery menu.

When the VSH menu comes up go down to USB Device and change it to UMD Disc.

Now exit the VSH menu.

Hook the PSP to PC via USB and enable the USB connection.

The UMD Bay will be accessed letting you drag the ISO off the disc to your PC.

After the ISO has riped to the PC rename the ISO to whatever the title of the UMD Disc is.

Now bring up the VSH menu again and go down to USB Device and change it back to Memory Stick.

You have now riped the UMD disc to PC as an ISO congrats.

when i try to upload the ripped UMD off my desktop back into my PSP it says the file is to large. Do i need to compress/and or get a bigger memory stick. I currently have about 1 free GB.
