ISO/CSO games not working or won't show?

13 Oct 2007 20:01 (Edited: 13 Oct 2007 20:01)

Here are a few things you can try...

Make sure you have the ISO/CSO in the ms0:/ISO folder

Make sure you have a legit ProDuo Memory Stick. Go to Game menu memory Stick and press Triangle. A side bar will pop out go to information and press X. If the MagicGate entry says supported then you have a legit Memory Stick. If it says unkown or unsupported it is a fake memory stick.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Make sure the title of the ISO/CSO is short.

Example:

Correct -- Fifa07.iso
Not Correct -- FIFA-07-[PSP][EUR][www.torrent site.com].iso

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Now right click on the ISO/CSO file and choose Properties. Make sure the Read Only and Hidden box is unchecked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Go into recovery mode (Hold R shoulder button down while turning on PSP)

Now go to configuration then to UMD MODE and keep pressing X till you see Sony NP9660 NO UMD.

When it is set to the above setting go to BACK and press X.

Now go to ADVANCED and press X.

Go to ADVANCED CONFIGURATION and press X.

Make sure all the settings here are disabled.

Now EXIT out of recovery.

Now try the ISO/CSO.

Tried all this and it still won't work. In XMB-GAME-MEM Stick it says |There are no game| I have 3.71 M33-2. I created an ISO folder in the root of the mem stick. Put a 3 letter ISO with proper file attributes. When in the Restore menu and checked all settings and still the ISO game wont show in my PSP game menu
    Any idea, please?

  • by larrylje @ 17 Dec 2007 12:27

Is it an official Memory Stick?

If it says magicgate unknown/unsupported then it is a fake stick.

  • by larrylje @ 29 Dec 2007 22:16

    @PspXbox92

You need custom firmware installed on the PSP to play ISO games on it.

If you have access to a custom firmware PSP go HERE.

If you only have access to a Official firmware PSP go HERE.

    Hi there,

I have a few questions too...

I have a 1.50 PSP and I've got Call of Duty Roads to Victory .cso file with me.

Can I just copy it to my ISO folder and play it? Do I have to download any additional software to play iso/cso files?

Moreover, for those iso games who are requiring latest firmwares; will it be possible to play on my 1.50 psp?

Sorry for my ignorance :); I will try my first iso game tomorrow

For all those who want to work their games after they installed cfw to the psp, they must format the memory stick toa automattically create the necesarry folders(including ISO).You cannot simple create a iso folder and play the game, cuz it wont show.
