Circle And Straight Boosting In Halo 2 Explained

(10 Feb 2007 15:04)

Circle Boosting
(Also known as Circle Jerking, but you get the point)
By Krafty
www.se7ensins.com

NOTE:
This method of cheating is a high risk of getting permanently banned, thats right, if you get caught cricle boosting, you dont get a suspension, you get a permanent ban from all of Halo 2 matchmaking. And no, there is no way around it, so do this at your own risk.

As you stated above that is a high risk, is there anyway to lower that risk?
Yes, a good idea would be to get up to at least 44 for safety, and circle boost a little each day. Space it out that way you wont get caught by doing it all at once. This is not guarenteed to keep you from getting banned, but it will help.

Is there anything else I need to know?
Ah, not really, lets just get started.

Ok, so what do I need?
You can do this in 3's, or 4's(4's would be better), circle or straight boosting.

Circling
If in 3's:
4 winners, 2 of them have to be bridgers
2 permanent losers, one has to be a bridger.

If in 4's:
5 winners, 2 have to be bridgers
3 permanent losers, 1 has to be a bridger.

Straight Boosting
If in 3's:
3 permanent winners, one has to be a bridger.
or
4 winners, 2 have to be bridgers

3 permanent losers, one has to be a bridger
or
2 permanent losers, one has to be a bridger

When circle boosting:

Make sure all the winners are around the same level.

Losers can be at any level

Bridgers need the IP(s) of everyone in the party, once you have all the IP(s), all bridgers put your firewall on high, and make sure you can hear each other.

This is where people get scared:In order to start the circle boosting, if YOU are 1 level higher than everyone(If you all the same level, this goes for the person with the most exp. on their level), then you have to lose first. Its the only way to get it started it.Look at it this way, if you dont cooperate, you'll never get your level up. So suck it up and do it cause if you do you'll get higher.
When straight boosting:

Make sure you have all the IP(s) of everyone in the party, bridgers put your firewall on high, and make sure you can hear everyone.

The object of straight boosting is to gain experience off the losers level, I would highly recommend the losers level to be about 5+ levels higher the all the winners.
Circle Boosting

Make 2 parties, a winning party and a loosing party. Make sure you send out friend requests to everyone.

In the losing party is the 2 or 3 losers, and the first winner thats losing

In the winning party, make sure at least one of them is a winner, with 2 winning bridgers, you shouldnt have to worry about that. So anyways, have one party(perferably the losing) start going in(again, make sure ALL bridgers have their firewalls on HIGH).

Once they have gotten host boxes, have them send someone from the winning team a message, or some sort of contact with each other

Once you have gotten the signal, go in.

If done right, you should get matched with them, if you get boxes, have them back otu and go in.

If you cannot find them in a matter of 5+ minutes, you may have done something wrong.

Once you've gotten through the first game, the first losing winner now goes to the winning team, and someone from the winning team goes to the losing team for one game, then you keep rotating. Everyone should win 3 times and lose once.
Straight Boosting

This is the same as circle boosting, make 2 parties, both bridgers firewalls on high.

Just follow the step, unless you have 3 or 4 permanent losers.

If you have a full party of losers, and one of them is a least 5+ levels above the winning party, then just keep going in and getting matched up with each other until you cant get anymore matches.
Level Matchups:
Level Maximum Match
1 +10 Levels
2 +9 Levels
3 +8 Levels
4 +7 Levels
5 +6 Levels
6 +5 Levels
7-16 +6 Levels
17-26 +7 Levels
27-29 +8 Levels
30 +9 Levels
31 +10 Levels
32 +11 Levels
33+12 Levels
34+ 13 Levels
35+ 14 Levels
36+ Level 50

And Also Talking about how for instance
A 30,30,30 Can't Straight Boost off a 29,1,1 but Can Straight Boost off a 29,29,29, or 31,1,1.

And thats about it, hope you got something from this

Bridging With Zone Alarm And Cain & Abel (Router Bridging)

(10 Feb 2007 14:57)

Bridging With A Router
Using Cain & Abel v4.1 & Zone Alarm Pro
Tutorial written by Krafty

What programs do I need to get started?
1.Cain & Abel v4.1(Download)
Note: Cain & Abel is detected as a virus on most anti-virus firewall programs(Including Zone Alarm). It is not (I repeat), IT IS NOT A VIRUS AND WILL DO NO HARM TO YOUR COMPUTER. Use common sense, I wouldn't waste my time writing a whole tutorial if I had you download something that really would damage your system. So dont panic, have your firewall trust Cain or this wont work.

2.Any Zone Alarm Product (This tutorial Uses Zone Alarm Pro)
-Zone Alarm Pro
-Zone Alarm Key's & Serials

What hardware do I need to router bridge?
You will need a modem, a regular switch router(2 Ports at the least), A Windows Computer to run the software, 3 Ethernet cords (regular cords), and your PC must have at least 1 ethernet port, and an Xbox/Xbox 360

Now how do I set up my bridge?
This goes as followed:
Modem ----(ethernet cable to)---- Router
Using 2 ports of from your router,
1st port ----(ethernet cable to)---- ethernet port of your PC
2nd port ----(ethernet cable to)----- ethernet port of your Xbox/360

Power on your Xbox/360 and sign in.

So, what do I do about the person I want to bridge?
He needs to have made the party & has to be party leader

Here we go:

Step 1:
Open Cain & Abel

Step 2:
On the tabs, select the "Sniffer" tab

Step 3:
First, lets configure your ethernet port on your PC with Cain to make sure this works, on the menu, select "Configure"

Step 4:
Now a window should pop up like this

Step 5:
If you see more than one adapter, to make sure which one is the ethernet port, scroll over to the end of the adapter details column

Step 6:
Now that you know which ones which, scroll back and select your ethernet port of your PC, and then click "Apply"

Step 7:
After clicking "Apply", press "OK" and the window should disappear

Step 8:
Now that thats done, make sure you are on the same window. There are two tabs, make sure the upper tab is on "Sniffer" and the bottom one is on "Host."

Once you have that, click the "Sniffer" button

Step 9:
Once that is selected, look for the Blue "+" Sign, click that

Step 10:
Once you have selected that, another window should pop up

It should look just like that without having to change anything. If it doesn't, make sure you change it so its identical to the image above. Do not worry about the number in the box, they wont matter for now.

Step 11:
Now, Press "OK" and it should scan, the scan should not take long

Step 12:
Now, You may see more than 2 IP's, but only look at your Routers & Xboxs' IP, those are teh only two you will need to know

Next, on the bottom tabs, click the "APR" tab

Step 13:
Now your main window should look like this

Step 14:
Now, we're you see 2 horizontal columns, click the upper column

Step 15:
Now, teh blue "+" should show up again where you clicked it last time, press it again

Step 16:
A new window should appear now

Step 17:
Now, You need to pay close attention to these next steps

First, you may see 1 or 2 IP's. First, select the IP OF YOUR ROUTER on the LEFT side of the columns

Step 18:
Now, on the RIGHT SIDE, select the IP OF YOUR XBOX/360

Step 19:
Now when your done, press "OK"

Step 20:
Now you should see it in the upper column of your APR window.

For the final step, press the APR button, which is the Radioactive icon on the icon bar.

Remember, on this part, make sure the person you are bridging has made the party and is party leader.

Step 21:
Now that you have started the poisoning (aka "Bridging"), you should start to see the IP's

As you see above, there are 4 IP's
Two of them are Bungies (65.59.234.161 & 65.59.234.162)
The party leader is the top one with the most flowing packets
And the other person is the random IP on the bottom

Now, over to Zone Alarm Pro

Step 1:
Open Zone Alarm. On the blue menu to the left, select "Firewall"

Keep your Internet & Trusted zone on "Medium" of "Off" to make sure nothing happens while doing this

Step 2:
Click the "Zones" Tab

Step 3:
Now your window should like this

One thing you might notice, if this is your first time using Zone Alarm, you might see a loopback adapter, Right-Click it and remove it

Step 4:
Now, if your network is on "Trusted", right-click it and change it to "Internet"

Step 5:
Now its time to add Bungies IP (65.59.234.161)
Towards the bottom, there are four buttons, click "Add"

Step 6:
When you press it, a small pop-up window should appear, select "IP Address..."

Step 7:
Now a small window should appear

Make sure its on "Trusted"

Step 8:
In the "IP Address" part, input Bungies first (65.59.234.161)

Note: If you see "65.59.234.162" in Cain, input that also, if you dont see it, dont worry about it. I would only input this whenever it shows up, but you at least have to have 65.59.234.161 (This will be the only one you really need)

Step 9:
Now, ask your friend for his IP, or look it up on Cain, places where he can check:
WhatIsMyIP.com
IP Chicken - What is my IP? Find Your IP Address!

Once you get it, input his just like you did with Bungies

(Sarcastic comment not made by me)

Step 10:
Now press "OK", and your window should look similar to this

Step 11:
Now that your done with that, down where the four buttons are, click "Apply"

Step 12:
Now, click the "Main" tab to switch back to the firewall tabs

Step 13:
Now, what you do it your leave your Trusted Zone Tab on "Med" or "OFF", and move the Internet Zone tab to "High"

Now, ask your friend if you can hear him, if he can, then you have successfully bridged him host.

Thats all.
Tips & FAQ's:

The part where the IP's show up in Cain are getting pretty full, how do I remove them?

Go down to that section, right click on any IP, and select "Remove All", basically it will refresh the window if its still poisioning.

I tried poisioning my connections and I've been getting only "Half-Routing," how do I make it Full rout?

Chances are, the Bungie IP just shifted. Its ok, it does that sometimes. Simply, go to your APR window(the picture above), click on the IP thats in the UPPER column, right click it and select "Remove All":

Now, go to the bottom, and select the "Host" tab. Right click on any of the IP's, and select "Remove All":

Now, go back to the beginning of the tutorial and repeat the steps.

What happens if I add my own IP?
Nothing....

What if I cant hear anyone but my friend in the game?
Mostly has to do with your connection. Its nothing too big, just after the game starts turn your firewall down to Med. or Low. Make sure you turn it back up when you start a new game.

Hope this was of help,

Bridging With A Wireless Connestion Using Internet Connection Sharing And CMD

(10 Feb 2007 14:54)

Internet Connection Sharing(ICS) Bridging
(Also know as "Wireless Bridging" or "Bridging with a Laptop")
By Krafty
Credit goes to ADV1L

What do I need?
A Wireless Card
A Wireless Modem/Router
A Crossover(CAT-5) Cable
Xbox/Xbox 360
Ability to bridge connections on your PC

What does this type of connection do?
It shares the connections and making it a direct connection from your xbox, to yoru wireless card to the internet, but it will be going through your PC, which means if you have host you can alternate the connections since its going through your PC(Just think if it as another way than bridging through your router...)

Is this better then using a router?
I would say so cause I dont think it will screw up the internet access to anyone else using it through the router. Not positivley sure though. Also, you dont need Cain/Switchsniffer/WinAPR for this method.

Whats the Commnd Prompt for?
Dont worry about it, your gonna need it for this method to work, thats all you need to know. The other way is to go to "Network Properties" and asking it to share connections, but too many people are having problems with that including me, so this was the only way that worked.

Now what?
I dont know, lets get started I guess?

(Note: For 360 users, leave your 360 on the main dashboard or, sign into live normally, then log out, and leave it on the main menu, once you are on the main menu, just hook your crossover into the laptop and connected your wireless internet and start with the precedure below)

Step 1:
Hook your crossover(CAT-5) cable from the ethernet port on your pc/laptop to your xbox/360, and have your wireless card plugged in and connected.

Step 2:
Once that is done, open up your Network Connections (Control Panel -> Network & Internet Connections)
It should look something like this

Step 3:
Now, highlight both connections by holding down the left button on your mouse, and dragging it over the 2 connections

Step 4:
Once they are both highlighted, right-click on of them, a pop-up menu should appear. From that menu, click "Bridge Connections"

Step 5:
Now this window should appear

Give it some time, if a window like this should pop up during the process

Just click "Continue Anyway"

Step 6:
Now, your network connections should look similar to this

As you see, the wireless internet is not connected, here is where we use ADV1L's method to force the sharing.

Step 7:
On your task bar, go to start and go to "Run.."

(Its a different skin, so yours may look different but it should say "Run" or have the icon my mouse is pointing to)

Another way is through the Task Manager, I didnt use images so im just gonna tell you:
Press CTRL + ATL + DELETE, on the menu bar click on "File" and on teh drop down list select "New Task(Run..)"

Step 8:
A small window shoudl pop up, in it, type in "cmd"

And then press "OK"

Step 9:
Now, a new window should pop up

Should look similar to that

Step 10:
Now, where the cursor is blinking, type in "netsh bridge show adapter" (without the quotations)

Then press enter

Step 11:
Give it some time, and this list should show up

Here is where we force it to share with the xbox/360

Step 12:
After you have done that there will be another line with a blinking cursor, in that line, type in "netsh bridge set adapter 1 enable"

Now before you do this, where I have the number "1" is the ID on the list, but what you have to do is replace that number with whichever ID number is your "Wireless Network Connection"(It way be number 1, EX: If it was number 2 in the ID list then you would put "netsh bridge set adpater 2 enable"

Back to my way, after you have typed it in, press enter

Now, give it I would say 10-20 seconds, it will start adjusting the network settings, so wait until its done.

If you typed it in correctly, is should look like this while adjusting

To double check, in the new line, re-type "netsh bridge show adapter"

Your wireless connection show now say "Enabled"," you may exit out of the command prompt(cmd.exe) window now

Step 13:
When its done, go to your Network & Internet Connections window, and it should look like this:

There you go, your connections are shared and bridged.

Note to Xbox 360 users: To get on live, you can do this one of two ways, you can log into live normally, log out and have it sitting on the main menu until you get all these steps done, then try signing in, if you get on after following these steps, you are bridged
or
If your on the dashboard, go to Settings -> Network Settings -> Test Connection
If you pass all the tests, your bridged, then go on into Halo

What do I do from here?
You may continue now onto Zone Alarm

This didnt work for me, what do I do?
Look at ADV1L's tutorial, he has some troubleshooting answers in it.
Force ICS Connecton or try this, click here

So, I dont need Cain & Abel or Switchsniffer?
Nope

And yeah, there you have it.

Bridging With Zone Alarm And Switch Sniffer

(10 Feb 2007 14:45)

Using Switchsniffer to router bridge
By Krafty
From www.se7ensins.com

Another program? What does this one do now?
Now that I have tried it, its basically an upgraded and better version of WinAPRspoofer. This one now has the ability to view the IPs of other people like Cain & Abel

Where do I go to download it?
Same place you go to download any program that has to do with bridging:

Thats basically all you need to know about it, so lets get started:

Step 1:
Open Switchsniff

You will be taken to the Main Window

Step 2:
Now, as your first time using this, we have to set the settings correctly, up at the top, click "Options"

Step 3:
Now, you will be taken to a small pop up window, go through all the settings listed on the window on the left, and make sure they look like this:
For this first one, make sure you select the ethernet card you use to connect your computer to your router, pay no attention to the IP Address they give you, you dont need it in this window. The only IP you need to know is your routers & xboxs. Your routers IP should be under "Default Gateway" in this window

For thw next one, you can set it to scan everytime the programs starts, its a cool option to have

Step 4:
Now press ok, and you will be taken back to the Main Menu. Now, to scan for the addresses. Back at the top, on the very far left, press "SCAN"(If you choose for it to san everytime on load, you dont have to do this after this time)

Step 5:
Now, the IPs should show up

Step 6:
Now, the good thing about this program is, if you use the side-scrollbar on the box where the IPs show up, you will see the Host name for the IPs, in which you can identify which IPs which(under "NIC Vendor")

Step 7:
Now, in the box to the left where it says "Up Hosts", you will only need to check the box with your XBOX IP, dont worry about the symbols for the others, thats normal, just make sure you find which one your XBOX IP and check that one

Step 8:
Now, once thats checked, all you have to do is go back to the top and press "START"

Your connections are now bridged.

Now, were not done yet, here are some cool stuff that puts this program next in line to Cain & Abel.
On the box with the 3 IPs, click the "Remote Hosts" tab

Just like Cain, here is a display of all the imcoming IP(s) of other people, and 2 from Bungie. If you want you can click on the "Sessions Info" tab also

And click on the "Services" tab to organize it, even though they give you the xbox name and port(3074)

And to stop the bridging, click the "STOP" button located at the top

To make sure you connections are poisioning, down in your Windows taskbar, if you have you network status icon on, when your searching it should be looking like this:

And it should stay that way until you are either in a party doing nothing or if you clicked the "STOP" button. But if you follow what I just showed you then you should have to worry. I tested this in 2 games and it did work

Now, you can proceed to using Zone Alarm regularly:

Step 1:
Open Zone Alarm (A-Duh)

Step 2:
Just for safe keeping, turn your firewall off (make sure you dont have hackers out to get you at this time).

Step 2:
Go to your rules(Zones) tab. First thing we wanna do is set your current network from Trusted to Internet. To do that, right click on "Zone" and select "Edit":

Now, a small window should pop up. All you have to do is change it from "Trusted" to "Internet" and then press "OK"

Step 3:
Now it should be on "Internet", and your window should look similar to this:

Step 4:
Now, time to add IPs. First you need to add Bungies IP(65.59.234.161). Now, if you see the same exact IP but with a different ending (IE: 65.59.234.162), add it also to be extra safe. When it doesnt show up in Cain, then you can remove it.
To add IPs, go down to the bottom-right hand corner and click on "Add>>" and select "IP Address...":

Step 6:

Now a small window should pop up, here is where you input the IP.
Just for example, I'm gonna input a random IP. You would do this twice if your bridging. 1)Bungies IP, 2)Your friends IP which your forcing host to. Make sure you have the right IP(s) also.(Check Cain). You can make the description whatever you want:

Step 7:
Now, make sure the Zones in "Trusted" and then press "OK", your window should now look similar to this:

Step 8:
Now, make sure you save the changes by either clicking another and and selecting "OK" at this prompt:

Or, on the bottom-right and corner press "Apply," If you do this, it sill be saved and you wont see the prompt above:

Step 9:
Now click on the "Main" tab towards the top of the ZAP FW.

Step 10:
Now, put your Firewall(Internet Zone Security) tab on High and leave your Trusted on Low. Your friend should be bridged now, hve him talk after doing this to make sure he still has connection to you.

There you go!
And there you have it, another one, this is all I got so far so please, give me a break if this doesnt work! At least im trying!
