I've never actually watched YuGiOh (thank goodness) but you don't need to in order to understand the Abridged Series. If you have watched an episode or two of some idiotic kids' dueling anime, I recommend Little Kuriboh's parody for a change of perspectiv

Lunar Anime's projects are always worth cheking out. The series they sub are not the mainstream "a-group-fights-vampires/zombies/etc." anime, but often more of the mysterious kind. A huge plus for the H264 quality mkv releases. Dl via torrents.
