Brain Cancer Awareness

My lovely wife was diagnosed with a brian tumor about 3 months ago. I never thought I would see something like this in someone I love so dearly. But the reality is much harsher. It IS here, and we are dealing with it the best that we can. She has had 2 surgeries in the past month and a half, and almost died just as many times during that period. She was born fighting, and will hopefully beat this crap back to wherever it came from.

I am writing this for two reasons. Number 1, it is nice to have an outlet. I have been holding it in for a while, and it is nice to write about it. Number 2, to promote awareness. Not much is heard about brain cancers. The truth is, it is not that frequent a disease. Not as much compared to, lets say breast cancer. Because of this, the medicines to fight it are not nearly as advanced as those of more commonly occuring cancers. But things are getting better. In the past couple of years, a new chemo pill has been developed that penetrates the blood-brain-barrier. This is one of the first treatments of its kind, and thankfully, my Wife is receiving this treatment.
