  Hi Jemborg, I'm afraid I'm not what you'd call a 360 expert, but I at least like to think I can give the fanboys a good fight :) The device I was thinking of at the time was this. It's not quite the same thing, but does the same job.

  With regard to fitting the 360 with TOSLINK, it already has it. Or rather, the newer ones do at least. I imagine you could probably just buy a newer cable for $15 that has one on it, I don't know if that would work or not really. Monster sell cables that actually have a full length optical cable attached, rather than just a port you plug your own cable into, but they cost what Monster cables always cost...

  Interesting post, sorry for not getting back to you earlier. I actually prefer the 360 pad to the PS3 pad, but I don't think it's bad, it certainly has a superior D-Pad. However, the 360 controller now just 'feels right', as cliche as that might sound.

  My grandfather fought in the pacific theater, as a Rear Guard not sure what division. like i said he doesn't like to talk about it.
  
  he's got all war stuff stashed in a decorated brass chest. he gave me his trophy weapons which included a 1911 a US Mark 1 trench knife and a Thompson SMG. he had a BAR but it wasn't something he could just bring home.
  
  all in all he's a cool guy. he'll be 85 this year he still lives by himself go figure huh.

  Oner banned Ozmick with no apparent reason then goes on to say he was banned for straying off topic. if that where so me,varnull that kyo character should have got banned as well.

  I find that Sony has screw over its consumers more than it's fair share. i also hate companies that can't back shit up. when MS screws up at least they admit it. Exclusives are to be taken with a grain of salt, as they may be exclusive for a year.
  
  I had a PS3. between the disc eating and the laser failing i just decided it was better to ditch it, not only that they had 2 years to to make it known that its a Game machine not a blue-ray player. did they No they didn't.

  the heat isn't flushed to external vents on the Xbox360 which makes the current heat pipe design inefficient . heat sink placement is also a no-no too much wight in the center of the mainboard will cause it warp down.

  it is cheap it would cost the DIY consumer about 20 bucks to do it, where as it would take somebody like MS about 50 cents a box. however the DIYers are left with air heatpipes. the heat pipes from MS are filled with water and vacuum sealed.
