My Grades This Semester

I am in 11th grade in a Magnet program at my High School and these are my Grades

Spanish 4 Advanced 91
English 3 94
Precalcus 91
Physics *Teacher wont give until report cards on Monday*
Gym 90
AP History 87

I am feeling nervious about Physics because of his grading system and I think I might have a B or even worse.. C

Why do teachers grade notebooks?

Grades suck. They usually don't give a good representation of a student's capabilities. Yet, unfortunately, as you probably know, colleges and the like will be looking at them to decide if you're good enough or not.

I don't know why I'm writing this. I kind of randomly stumbled upon your blog. I guess I felt compelled to say something, because I used to get the top grades. I was valedictorian of my high school. But now, as a freshman at Cornell, those grades in high school don't mean much. I'm getting pretty bad grades here...C's and D's in some classes. ...So yeah. I hate grades. You should too. Just wanted to say that.

to see if you really pay attention during class rather than waiting till the last days before the test.

Thanks for the input jtan . I hate grades too somewhat. I don't like the fact that colleges and some people use it to define you.
