  Policewoman Costume
  Female police uniforms in the UK have changed a lot over the years mainly reflecting the current fashion. Towards the end of the 80's, apart from the headgear the policewoman uniform had become almost identical to that of the males. At Jokers' Masquerade we sell a large variety of female police officer uniforms, from the more realistic “panda” type policewoman costume set that includes white shirt collar, checked necktie and black shoulder epaulettes, to naughty and sexy police uniforms.

  British Police Uniforms
  The first ever police force was set up in France in 1667, but the first modern police force comparable to todays police was established in 1829 in London, known as the London Metropolitan Police. The British police costume has changed considerably since it's inception and it was only towards the end of the 19th century that a standard costume was introduced. The base colour of the police uniform is blue, initially it was much lighter than today's a very dark blue, that sometimes almost appears black.
