  I've been so busy with work and life someone pointed out that I hadn't uploaded very many pictures in a few months. So I thought I'd look through a few this weekend and pull out a few of my favorites. They may not go up in the order taken and I may not get to it all. I had the flu a week ago and although went back to work this week, I'm still pretty tired and sleeping a lot. It takes a lot of energy out of you to fight the flu and a long time to regain your strength.
  
  Dizzy Reed from Guns and Roses at Howl at the Moon, Universal City Walk. Sept. This was a fun night and typical of one aspect of life in LA.
  This wasn't a one time show, Dizzy just has a regular gig there. Wed. night is 80s night. Along with the usual mix of tourists and locals hanging out that night was a Kiss tribute band that showed up in costume to watch the band. And one of Howard Stern's gadflies, Melrose Larry Green, who seemed to be there both to enjoy the scene and, being himself, see how much he could insert himself into the show.
  
  I know the stereotype that tourists have is that you see celebrities on every corner all the time. And that's not totally true. We're normal people living normal lives. The majority of us either don't have a job in the industry, it's a non glamorous support job or else we're the loved ones of those who do. But on the other hand, these things do happen. I think it was sometime that same month that we walked into a grocery store late at night on the way home and stood in line behind Eric Sardinas. We recently went into Guitar Center down the street for a part and Peter Frampton had just been in there picking up something he needed. My car almost got hit one day on Coldwater Canyon when a bunch of paparazzi tried to ambush Britney Spears to get photos. When I used to live in Burbank, it was no big deal to see Jay Leno driving down the street on the way to work at NBC. A student I sometimes teach here is a child actor who's done some pretty widely seen work. My uncle has done a lot of upholstery work over the years for celebrity clients as well as ordinary people. I guess the difference is that we're used to it. They're living here just like us. And as fun as that is, it's just another business in the end. With people just like us, who, either through talent or connections, or some combination of both, have been lucky enough to become well known for what they do.
