Long time, No see!

Well it's been I while since I have wrote anything on here, the only thing I seem to use AfterDawn for nowadays is the excellent news section and software downloads. After all the problems with the Hard Drives back early summertime I and pleased to tell you that I no longer buy Samsung Hard Drives, but I will have to put up with any remaining ones in our home (exactly 3) until they reach the end of their operating life.

Other than Hard Drives not much has changed however I have moved house and now have a network all over it with properly installed cabling rather than just a bunch of cables lying about wherever people recently kicked them. It a joy to use, the only disadvantage is that 5 of use live here, 3 of which seem to be addicted to torrents. Although we have the fastest ADSL2+ connection available through a BT phone line today we still struggle for bandwidth at particular times.

I also have a dual screen setup and love it. The freedom to browse the tinterweb and have some task running on the opposite screen is great, Although it can be a pain in the ass when programs want to load up on a particular screen. Maybe there is a fix for this?

Anyway, I should be on here before Christmas but if not then I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Yer beforehand.
