Royseven - The Art Of Insincerity released October 20th

20 Oct 2006 9:17 (Edited: 20 Oct 2006 9:17)

The debut album from Dublin-based six piece Royseven, has been released today (Oct 20th) in Ireland. The band is rapidly picking up fans across the country and across Europe. Last month, the first single from the album 'Older' entered straight into the charts at No. 6, the highest new entry for the week. As for the album itself, 11 stunning tracks will take you through a journey told by songwriter Paul Walsh, with the influence taken mostly from a period of his life.

The Art Of Insincerity includes upbeat tracks like "Happy Ever Afters" but also has a dark side that tells a tale of emotional pain and anger as we see in "I laughed alone" and "Revenge in blue". The band has signed a major deal with Universal in Europe, and won a large sponsorship deal with Volkswagen on the continent.

The band appeared at 'Rock Am Ring' and 'Rock Im Park' in Germany and across Europe at the Montreux Jazz Festival and World Cup Festivals where they played to over 50,000 festival-goers

Royseven are...

Paul Walsh - Vocals & Guitar
Eamonn Barret - Guitar
Sam Garland - Guitar
Paul O'Hara - Piano / Keyboard
Dazzy Oglesby - Drums & Percussion
Bernard O'Neill - Bass

Singles

Double single Happy Ever Afters / Roy is listed as available at CDWorld.ie but I know this was a limited release so whether stocks are still there or not, I don't know: [ link ]

Older single with track called For You And Me that doesn't appear on the album is available from iTunes

Album - The Art Of Insincerity:

Available from CDWorld.ie, free worldwide delivery for €14.99... [ link ]

Available from HMV.co.uk for £9.99: [ link ]

Entire album is also available via iTunes.

If you listen to any of vids / tracks online and like it, then consider buying a download to support an upcoming band, obviously paying €14.99 for an album from a band you never heard of is a bit risky but I thought I'd throw in the link anyway :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed this album and they put on a great live show :-)

Good luck with charts, guys.
