I downloaded a movie that consists of 2 Avi files. I can view it using my Windows Media Player and both files play perfectly. I tried to use "virtualdub" but it told me that the file I was attempting to join has several errors. I tried to convert to MPEG using "Video Convert Master" but the video portion was scrambled. Any ideas???

By the way please respoond by Email to = aactive2@mts.net

    Thanks

    Hey there,

I have been reading on the forums you left on the PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631 and were telling everyone to have DELL replace it with NEC but I got mine at a computer store here in a little town in Kansas that was obviously not a big business. Anyways this computer I bought is used so do you think I can still get it replaced or am I just out of luck? I had been trying to burn a CD for over a month now and get nothing but an error code but I think that has to do with Itunes. Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

The computer's warranty is probably over !

If you are having issues and have a DVD8631, I would personally open the front door and throw that drive as far as you can, that's MY opinion !

Just buy a new one, NEC, LG, Pioneer...
