(Not Quite) Bulletproof

12 Mar 2007 2:36 (Edited: 12 Mar 2007 2:36)

I've been a fan of Radiohead for few years now (thanks Grey), but as I'm the kind of guy who prefers to look forward instead of backward, I really didn't check out their earlier material for a while.

And wouldn't have intended to until I started becoming a You Tube junkie. Seeing that I could find videos posted by members of stuff as early as Nat King Cole, I figured I'd take a swing at finding my fave Radiohead video "Knives Out" by doing a search with the band name. Found it; good, but I also saw this slide show featuring a song from Radiohead's debut album, 'The Bends', which I kinda wrote off because I didn't like the hit song from it, "Creep" (too self-deprecating).

Though I wasn't bowled over by the slide show, the song (called "Bulletproof...Wish I Was") knocked me on my rear with it's reverberated, melancholic longing.

I was thinking of the song when I drew the image that leads this blog entry; I was also thinking about recent events I've experienced that have changed (and will change) my life (I wasn't shot, but I was assaulted without provocation).
