  Hello again. I recently had some issues with Internet Explorer that I posted about. You recommended I use HijackThis in combination with Combo Fix, which worked wonders. I've been having some more issues, this time with blue screen errors. I ran Combo Fix again and was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at my log. It appears that this site does not have a private messaging system, so I will make a new thread in: afterdawn.com forums software, operating systems and more windows - virus and spyware problems.

  thank you very much for your help CDAVFREW . i know its been a while since i got back to you but i have been away. and when i returned, my son had taken his laptop into a pc shop and got them to recover his pics and vids. again thanks very much

  first log-on. reading your forum pages. you have a caveman/virus holding a placard saying that my ip is ........ and hackers can get to me just as easily. Could you enlighten me as to the purpose of this little scare item?
  If I need to take action, then what action? I have Zone alarm, avg, spybot, adaware and ccleaner. I was feeling nice and secure. Where's the bogeyman and what do I need to do?

  Go to the root of every drive, and delete autorun.inf.
