Australian TESOL Course

10 Nov 2006 13:02 (Edited: 10 Nov 2006 13:02)

As many of you may have read in my blog previously "decisions and choices" I had gone up to stay with my dad and continue my study life there and i felt that it was not the right move for me at the time so i came back and have continued my schooling here back in Sydney.

My dad wanted me to do a Tesol course while i was up there in Queensland with him but as i stated in the last blog i wrote that i turned him down. Although i did decide to research it further and take it up here in Sydney and I went and got an application form about middle of last month and i filled in the application and attached my CV to the application as they stated and i got a call back yesterday saying that I have been accepted for an interview to see if i can do the course. So as far as it goes now I am up to stage 2 of the whole process I am nervous and excited at the same time because I feel my level of understanding the English language is good enough to do the course although I am afraid that my level of grammatical understanding is another thing all together.

I have been reading up on all the grammar that i think that will be present in the exam. The whole process takes up to 3 hours and at the end I will find out if i am accepted to do the course so I pray that I can be accepted to do the course. :) If I get accepted I then have to pay the fees which is not exactly cheap. The good thing though is my dad said that he will fork out for it and just to let him know once i get accepted so he can pay. So I guess its all left up to me and my level of English. This is the only time i wish i had payed more attention in english calss in high school :)

Well all i can say is wish me luck and.. I will keep you guys posted on my progress.

Ciao for now :)

Well now that's interesting to me as your level of English here has always been good enough that I assumed you were someone who had grown up speaking it. Good luck with your exam!

Thanks for the comment. Just an update to what happen. I did not qualify to do the course as my grammar level is not up to the standard of Cambridge University.

Ohh well... Better luck next time.
