  You appear to be an expert on the old Dbox, i have recently been given a Sagem Dbox e by a friend when i plug it in to NTL i just get the message 'cannot download EPG' and no picture appears.

  Hiya fella. You seem to be the "all knowing" guru with the DBox2. Im looking at getting one and would like some info before I do. Don't know what the whole debug mode, neutrino etc is all about.   Hi Blue - just received my sagem dbox2 from !!! A Friend!!! - problem is, it wont pick up any channnels, not even BBC or radio - scaned several times = nothin just says ERROR no channels found
  Specs
  Sportster pro 1.0.5 but shows uboot 1.1.4 on dbox display
  Settings scan CableUK Sym 6952 , Sym 6887 and Bruteforce -which one?

  Heya Bluemoon,
  I'm having some problems with my box. Its been working fine - all the channels have worked including PPV no problem. Just this last week, some, not all, the channels have temporarily gone off. For instance, when i switch to Sky Sports 1, it says "Error, Channel not available", and thats the case with a few other channels. But the thing is they work for a period of a few hours, but then go off, and thats been happening for a week or so, and it's a bit annoying.
  What do you think could be the problem?

  my problem is that i have all the channel displayed after scan but no image appearing. the only channels i can view are BB! and 2; STV (channel 3) and channel 4. thats all.

Please can you help, I bought a nokia dbox2 the other day, hooked it up like it said, plug and play and everything was working fine for about 20 mins then all of a sudden, the channels went blank,black screen. The EPG is still working and shows the program details such as times,title etc..the box also shows strong signal with the correct time and date...but no picture or sound...jus black screen...please could you help or advise me on what to do as i bought this for a gift for my father who has just come out of hospital....if any1 has a resolution to this issue or can help in any way please contact me via email or msn messenger on preetesh_t@hotmail.com

  hi there m8i iive been a fetched rs232 lead to try and flash my dbox2 the only reason i need to flash its got the old image on and when you scan it looses all the channels any idea which image to put on so that when you scan it wont loose the channels cheers wayne

  Hi bluemoon, i have had a nokia dbox2 for a while now but recently some of the programs i watch have audio description voiceovers for blind people.   Hi Bluemoon, Sorry to pester you but I'm a noob and need your help! Can you send me the idiot guide for flashing the dbox2? Also, where can I get the latest image file? I bought the box with Neutrino loaded but when I power up, I get the debug mode screen followed by the Neutrino logo and "loading kernel..." It stays in this state indefinately with a picture of Al Pacino on the TV - no menus, nothing :(

  i wonder if you can help me. i have had the nokia dbox2 for about 5 months now and have had it all working with all the channels. but the other day i tried turning on the box but it will not load and freeze wen the sporter bit comes on. not allowing me to get to the channels. have u any idea of what could be wrong.

  hi blue moon, its Alpha here, got nokia d box, had it for a week, all channel were there at V.media (NTL), all vanished, scanned it , all channels r there, information bar comes up but no pic, only bbc channels. Pls advice and pls send me the dbox guide.

  Hi bluemoon. Any chance you can email me the guides and latest image files for dbox 2. Mine keeps freezing up after sometimes seconds sometimes minutes.. thats if i manage to get a picture at all. Also any tips would be great. It is currently loaded with neutrino but was thinking about finding the commando 8.1 version i have read it's very reliable do you agree? Any help much appreciated.

However i am moving to spain and no they have sky boxes available to by out there with cards. I was wondering wether or not i should buy a satellite d box 2 or a dreambox could you let me no which is best. Also would i have to have the minimum subscription package like i do at the moment or do i just need the stellite not to sure how the satellite dbox or dreambox would work could you pleaes helpme out i would greatley appreciate it thanks peter

  You're probably sick to death of this question but is there any chance you could help me out with a Nokia Dbox. I bought the box via ebay. Its a Nokia Dbox I and not a Dbox2. So this is my first mistake. The person I bought it from says there are 300 channels already installed but not the programs I want if you know what I mean, Sky sports,movies etc. I have access to internet and pc regularly but I just have no idea where to start.
  Do you have an idiot proof guide that I could look at to try and make the box all singing and dancing for all TV channels?
