I jump back and forth between rap/hip-hop and alternative music listening. Im trying to get back into the nero forums and do some helping. Looks like you have a bad install of Nero - uninstall Nero, run the clean tool and reinstall Nero. Install version 6.6.0.18. You'll have autoburn back w/ Shrink & Nero in this version.

I see you are a afterdawn junkie. Can you help me. I am trying to make a slide show larger than 99 pictures. I am running into problems. It burns all 252 or 157 or whatever number of pictures. It plays them fine on my PC, using Nero, but it will not play them on my TV with my DVD player. I can burn a slide show with less than 99 pictures and all is fine.....but I want to make a bigger slide show. I am also not understanding Chapter or Titles; is this related to my problem. Please, any help would be great. I have posted this question and not heard back....it has not been long though. I am feeling a bit inpatient.

Not a big slide show maker myself - only done a few but here's a link from Nero that may help you out - for Nero 6 but if using Nero 7 should be very similar.

For doing dvd backups those programs work great - most widely used ones here. Codecs sounds like you're doing downloads. Having a problem then just post back in the thread and we'll try and get you sorted.

i just tried to use imgburn and and doesnt work error again i tried to use the dvd fujifilm Dvd+R, do i have to convert it again?
I use Nero or ConvertXtoDVD to convert avi's. DVD+R DL is dual layer media - much more expensive than the regular + or -R media.
For the crappy Matshita I only use Taiyo Yuden anymore - too picky on the rest.
See if you can get made in Japan media like the Sony, Fuji or Maxell - look for 8x.
No once you have the converted filed saved to your hard drive no need to convert it again.
Post back in the thread too so that way others can help too if I'm not around.
I use the Maxell -RW (made by Optidisc) fine on my other burners but can't remember if I've used them on the Matshita. I think I have though.
I've also used the mij -R Maxells. For this drive those I mainly use Taiyo Yuden which of you get the mij they should be made by them.

Yeah glad those did the trick!! You might want to check out the online stores above and get the Taiyo's. 8x as you can tell is getting harder and harder to find in store.

Hi there, hoping you can help! I have a sony vaio pcg-k315s, and having trouble burning a data copy dvd. Basically I need to back up my music from my mp3 player, and therefore need to get it onto my computer then onto a data dvd.
I have tried using Philips DVD-rw, a dvd-r of another make, and also a cd-rw. I tried to use the Sonic Record Now, and have downloaded a copy of Nero but this also failed. So assume there is a problem elsewhere - the hardware?
The errors come up the same pretty much, and appear to be the usual reports. I can email you a copy of one of the reports?
I don't have a great knowledge of the terms used to describe the process, or how to fix the problem. And don't know where to start with downloading new updates or patches or firmware. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Start a thread & post the copy of your report in the DVD Newbie forum - link or if it's from Nero - in the Nero forum - link.
Just be sure to edit out the serial #.
You can also find Nero logs here:
Program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory.
Post the other info you gave too.
Posting it in the forum is best - if I'm not around there are alot of good members that can help sort this out.

You helped me before, maybe you can help me now. I downloaded a movie and played it back on a provided viewer. It plays just great; audio, and video. I try to burn on nero, and play it back before the burn, and the audio is way faster than the mouths are moviing. Is there an ajustment in nero vision to balance the audio and video.......help!!

binkie..forgive me, i'm a newbie but have seen in the forums that u help a lot of ppl. i've got the decrypting and the recoding with Nero down pat except when i get an error msg while decrypting saying to check condition because it can't read a file. i'm told it's because of a scratch. So, i skip the file and it will decrypt every singe file except that one, let's say (Vts_01_1). it will say 18 files copied, 1 skipped, decrypt successful. So ithought i wud be able to slide in a blank dvd and open Nero recode and just burn everything but that one file. It gives me an immediate error saying cannot find VTS_01_1, no more files found. Do u have any ideas? Ive succesfully copied all my dvd's but there are a few that just will not because of this error. THing is the dvd's don't even show deep scratches. I've also used Scratch out and a stupid little machine that was supposed to remove all scratches etc. Total waste of money. I appreciate any thoughts u cud pass along....sorry to take so much space up...best, preston

I am new to this forum but I noticed that you seem to have the information and knowledge I need. I am trying to burn .avi to a dvd. I have a player that plays everything under the sky. I have a Mac and for some reason the data mode will not work. I have a program called Burn that has alot more options but I just cant get it all to workout. But i can burn them on a cd-r and they will play on my dvd player. weird. anyways your help would be much appreciated.

You're best bet would be to start a thread in the DVD for Newbies (where your last thread was)

Hi. Actually w/o the new addition of marketplace the thread would have been closed cause no buying or selling in the 'regular' forums. Marketplace is still very new so I would think traffic will pick up. You can bump threads in Marketplace every 24 hrs so if your thread isn't on the 1st page you can always bump it.
Have you also tried listing on like Craigslist?

binkie my friend us newbie's appreciate the time use guys take too help us, but you cut my thread off there, it was not a question of new codes, my problem is, with the new codes entered my starview is stuck on scrambled or bad channel m8! using 2.57e_E firmware! thanks in advance. Any advice much apprieciated. (p.s. have done factory reset and turned emu on)

man i need some help.i brickeb my psp slim recently it was running cw 3.71 m33 2.it wastotally bricked.it was originally a fw 3.72.so i amde some research on how to unbrick it and finally i decided to go for the universal unbricker ver 3.i suppose you know that unbricker.now i used amemory card reader to do all procedures. i had my mod battery ready and followed all the steps.when i put in the card and the battery the psp`s screeen comes on and i have the various options i choose instal 3.71 m33 it installs evertyinhg ok.the next step is to take out the battery and strt up the psp with the ac charger .when i do that i still have my bricked psp.the green led comes on but no effect on screen.please if you can help me do

Hi! I posted a forum asking for informaiton on how to back up original ds cartridge to M3 ds Real and you refered me to the thread M3 DS Real Guide. Firstly, thankyou for your response but this is the thread I spent nearly 3 hours reading every single post and was not able to find anything to help answer my question. Perhaps i missed something but i really dont want to spend all that time going through the posts again. Could you please tell me if it is possible to put the ds games we have at home onto my home computer so i can save them onto the micro sd card fro my M3 ds Real. I am not interested in downloading games I am just wanting to put the 30 odd games we have here at home onto 1 cartridge so we dont have to carry all the games with us. Is there someway the ds lite can be plugged into my computer and the games transfered? Thankyou

I have been reading your post and links on your page. You appear to know a good bit about burning dvd's. I am a newbie and lost as a goose. I would like to ask some questions but feel they are so elementary to ask here. I suspect the forums are too advanced for me to ask basic questions. I have just gotten a JVC video camera and it came with software and I bought a dual layer burner that came with Nero 7 Essentials. I guess this is a very scaled down version.
