Something we all wish was possible. My how the years have gone by. So much has changed both in this world and in my head that the enlightenment of it all has been both motivating and aggravating. At least Bush is gone..I hope Obama is being a weak liberal only because he needs a 2nd term to make dramatic changes that are NEEDED for the survival and thriving of this great nation. Conservative ways are so divisive to the whole. Without a rich govt a balanced population (not the super rich, rich, and dirt poor system we partly have and is becoming prevalent), and strong regulations on all types of business, banks, and insurance, we will give the nations wealth to a few people. The nation will decline like Soviet Russia as Eurasian nations pwn us in sci/tech/social well-being/healh/etc/etc/etc. This will also lead to private dictatorships or political influence of unseen kind imo, where the richest of the rich (a hedgefund manager in the USA made nearly $5 billion last year). A company in Russia is selling a shipping crate that has a missile launch mode capable of using ICBM's or any type of missle for $20mil. A single M1 Abrams tank is a lil over $6mil. F-16's and F-35's are around $20mil and $60mill respectively. Infantry equipment is widely available and fully modifiable for MUCH less. Now do the math. These people, or even corporations, could fund terrorist organizations for political/business/personal benefit, or in the case of extremely poor nations, buy their own land to have their own country (see North Korea purchasing Senagal's land as their own). It is possible that, if militarized, they could then invade countries we don't care about or are brittle, like Somalia etc. Then give all the people amazing lives, many woman, and anything they pretty much desire if they agree to be in your military till the end. Equip them good and move on the the next poor nation. Soon, even excluding a militarized takeover and using purely monetary means, you have an empire of your own, free from taxes, laws, regulations, and anything else you don't like.. I guess you can figure out some other implications of such division, so I guess my rant ends here.. Comments would rock!
