no luck again with Price of Persia 3, used dvd decryper and isobuster but when tried to play it just keeps on stopping on loading .I checked my maxell dvd -r are made in japan .The copy that I am coping from works fine on the ps2 and I do not think that it is scratched.Do you have any thoughts ? cause i am making too muh coasters!!!!!

I haven't backed up Prince of Persia 3 yet, but how many GB is the DVD base game (ie 4.3 or 6.5 or 7.2 etc.)? If it's over 4.5GB then you'll need to rebuild the game using DVD Decrypter, Apache 2 (or ISO Buster PRO 1.8 - not necessary since Apache 2 can extracts both layers easily), CDVD GEN 1.5 and Gnie's IML2ISO. Is the copy you're copying/burning form is an original PS2 game or an already backed up PS2 game? It is good that you're using "Made In Japan" Maxells.
If you need helps on how to "rebuild" a PS2 game, then go here [ link ] it has tons of ways on how to rebuild a DVD9 base PS2 games into a single DVD-R or DVD+R 4.7GB disc.

In query to which PGCs/TTN or VTS_XX_*VOB to blank out, you'll need to run through PgcEdit and it will tell you which VTS is most likely (suspicious) of having bad sectors or bad protected sectors (usually is encrypted by Macrovision's RipGuard or Sony's ARccOS). Then you make a *good note*, and run it through VobBlanker, then you edit/preview it, and BLANK that junk out, if it's NOT any movie files related at all (most likely will be less than a minute will be junks). In addition, when you preview/edit, you can "cut or blank" that annoying FBI Warning sign as well.

alkohol, thanks for the info. I've pretty much been able to follow everything you listed, but I'm not sure what you mean when you say run PgcEdit. Is that a separate program? or is that a part of the vob blanker program and I'm just not seeing it. Also I was curious with the Grimm Brothers the Pgc #1 and #2 of VTS 01 look the same when I view it with the preview/cut option although #1 says its size is 5879MB while #2 has a size of 0by, how is it that they look the same when looking at them with the preview/cut? Thanks I'm just trying to learn more from a pro.

Hey alkohol i was trying to back up the brothers Grimm and used your guide did everything right but ran into another problem when i tried to open files with shrink to burn it. Too often when trying to copy a dvd in NERO i get toast. I am pretty certain it is because the dvd source had a small bad sector or scratch, they come in the mail, Of course they play on dvd player and when I decrypt and put on hard drive and replay they are fine-occasional skip--Is their some way to get Nero to ignore the small stuff and just make the copy? Some sort of disk cleaning apparati that would improve my odds?
It should work, if you're having hard time installing, then let me know and I'll try to see what I can do to work around CD DVD GEN 1.5 for you alright.

Try to rip the DVD into your hard drive first instead of burning on-the-fly (burning-on-the-fly is a no..no). Try to used DVDFAB Decrypter or DVD Decrypter to rip via MODE, File F into your hard drive, then proceed from there.

Go here [ link ] for more info on how to rebuild GRAN TURISMO 4. I've put on a guide to rebuild GT4 on my sicky guide on top. Just follow the GT4 guide carefully and you'll have a fully working backup of GT4 into a DVD5 disc. Good luck, and let me know how's your results.

What plugin you need? I've put on a new link that has PSL2 plugin version 2.9 on my last reply in the thread. Again, you'll need the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.6.6, PgcEdit and PSL2 plugin (including FixVTS). Now follow the guide carefully and you should be able to have a successful backup. Alkohol I have full licensed version of Nero 7 Ultra, however when following your guide on converting avi movies with Nero Vision 4 which I have installed....when vision is opened there is no selction for making a dvd, there is only a seletion to make CD...???
Did you mean this [ link ] (I hope the picture show up)? All I could think of/suggest is for you to get Nero's General Clean Tool, run it to completely clean Nero 7 from your system. Now download the latest from Nero 7 and reinstall back on your system, then try to see if you'll have the "make DVD" tab. Worst case scenario, you can always ask Nero Tech/Help Support like you've got a full Nero 7 Ultra, but why can't you have the "make DVD" tab when converting/transcoding AVI project into DVD.

@vinceton, Just an FYI but it is LEGAL to make a copy of a DVD you bought when you live in the USA. Macrovision and Sony Arrcoos are trying to stop ALL copying, both legal and illegal, and we have the right (here in the US) to defeat them. You need to extract "psl2_plugin.tcl, FixVTS.exe and crc32.exe" into your PgcEdit plugin folder. Here's what it said on the installation instructions:

(ie. in "C:\Program files\PgcEdit\plugins\") You must copy at least the files
"psl2_plugin.tcl", "FixVTS.exe" and "crc32.exe". (Do NOT create a subfolder

Thanks for the DVD9 Rebuild info. I used it.It worked but my God Of War only plays about half way though the game then freezes. Can you tell me what I could do to get it to work. I tried to burn it four different time and ways. But it's frozen at a save spot. My son was not happy.Could it just be the Media? Or did I rebuild the wrong file out of the two? Please Help! Also I did 50 Cent it works but haven't finished it yet. I hope it doesn't freeze also. HELP Wolf69

feel stupid about my question regarding why make DVD was not appearing and it was because I did not have my external dvd burner turned on while opening Nero. However now I find even with external Dvd burner on I get an error message when trying to open Nero
Burning Rom stating Nero.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for inconvenience.
For G.O.W you'll need to use the Sonix Ripkit Tool in order to successfully create a fully functional DVD5 backup. My guide is specifically for ordinary DVD9 games such as (50CENT BULLETPROOF, PATH OF NEO, NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED and GRAN TURISMO 4) only. For games like God Of War and GT4, it needs to have its own special "ripkit tool". My suggest is go to [ link ] and get GOW ripkit v3 and you'll have a success. Good luck and enjoy your new game.
Honestly, I really don't know what happened. All I can suggest is to completely wipe out Nero via Nero's General Clean Tool, then restart your computer and reinstall Nero back on your system to see if you'll have any success. Seriously, I've never had/experienced any issues with Nero since the first day that I installed Nero 6 --> current (Nero 7.0.1.4B). So far, Nero has never let me down -- it has been burning and encoding/transcoding flawlessly for me. Worst case scenario, you can always ask "Nero Tech Support" for the error you're getting/experiencing. Again, sorry.... I've never experienced that kind of "error" so I really don't know what to say. Good luck!!

I have read your directions of coping the great raid. When I get to the point where it says to click on Process, that is where I have the problem. The Process button is grayed out and will not connect. I read through the directions several times but I guess I am doing something wrong. Would like to become more knowledgeable about using VobBlanker and PgcEdit. Your guides are fabulous as a way of click here and do this and have helped me in many ways, but is there somewhere I could learn more about the various bells and whistles and the why of things. PgcEdit in particular seems to have a lot of functions but most of the terms/processes etc are Greek to me. Look in AD Glossary but then that is not always complete. I can rip, shrink and burn with the programs I have but I am interested in seeing if I can demystify some of the more esoteric aspects of the process. I’m a Baby Boomer so I didn’t grow up with computers so a little slower on the uptake. In medicine over 38 years and that I’m pretty literate in but always looking for new horizons to explore.

For PgcEdit with PSL2 plugin + FixVTS, you'll need to dig around at "digitaldigest.forum" or search around the net for it. However, if you still can't get it, then I'll see what I can do to get it for you alright. Maybe I'll upload via (yousendit.com) later on. As for VobBlanker, I recommend you or anybody to get the latest, which is VobBlanker 2.1.0.0, here [ link ] is a direct download zip file (I hope it works).

You're welcome. Here's the latest version from PgcEdit v0.6.2 [ link ] and here's the PSL2 plugin [ link ] - you need to extract and put in the plugin folder from PgcEdit. Here's the instructions from PSL2 plugin:

I used your VOB blanker first method on a friends computer that didn't have a new copy of DVD43, or AnyDVD. It worked perfectly. He wanted the whole DVD, and this method worked. It just added a small VOB blanker processing time to a normal rip time. It's a great program, and thanks again alkohol for pointing out the update. I like the new preview screen.
@MaxBurn - You're welcome buddy, I'm glad you liked it. Believe it or not, I don't have AnyDVD and DVD43. All I've got is DVDFAB Decrypter and DVD Decrypter. Yep, for sure the new VobBlanker is a must have tool. See you around buddy.

@driffter - You DON'T NEED AnyDVD. I've never use AnyDVD to crack anything for me. All my ripping tools are free, except for Nero.
Back to your question now. If that is the case, then it's safe to continue on with DVD Shrink and do your usual shrinking process. If you have DVDFAB Decrypter version 2.9.6.8 to rip THE CAVE, then it is likely that it took most of the craps/junks aka bad or fake cells, encrypted sectors already. Just load your VIDEO_TS folder into DVD Shrink and transcode/shrink it as usual, then burn at your desire burning engines.
However, if you're like me and want to have a "super clean/fresh" VIDEO_TS files of the movie (THE CAVE), then run it through VobBlanker version 2.1.0.0 and just click on PROCESS, you don't necessary need to BLANK out anything since it might confuse you. So once you've set your "input = your source of ripped VIDEO_TS file from DVDFAB Decrypter" and "output = create a NEW CAVE folder and a sub-folder VIDEO_TS <== this is your fresh/new VIDEO_TS folder that you're going to use it with DVD Shrink later on". Now just click on PROCESS and let VobBlanker do the job, once it's completed. Then just do your usual shrink process.
Just incase if you don't have VobBlanker version 2.1.0.0, here [ link ]
@gelder - Honestly, I don't know how you end up with a WinRAR file after ripping from DVD Decrypter. According to my knowledge, once DVD Decrypter is done, you should have two files only (1 is an ISO Image File & 1 is MDS file). Just pick the MDS file and burn it right back with DVD Decrypter, however, if only the ISO is less than 4.3GB, if it's over 4.3GB, then you'll NEED to rebuild the ISO using my rebuilding guide in the PS2 forum. Good luck!!
After I do that the movie is still to big, to be be put on one disk, i am not sure why. Even with simply the movie it is 4509mb with DVDshrink. Honestly i belive i am doing sumfin wrong. With the whole movie it is almost 1gig over

Seeing as you seem to know oh so much about PS2 burning/modding/etc., I wanted to ask you some very... noob-ish questions. Hope you aren't TOO offended; I usually work with DVD videos and whatnot, not PS2 games.
First off, in your guide (sumthin' about rebuilding with Bulletproof and GT4...), you said that by typesetting to DVD-ROM, it'd make the PS2 able to read the media regardless of what type of PS2 it is. Does that mean that I wouldn't have to get my PS2 modded? Or am I just an idiot?
Secondly, IS there a way to play a PS2 DVD game without modding my PS2? I'm currently DLing Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and I'm wondering if I'll be able to play it on my American PS2.

@KajNrig - in order for you to play any PS2 backup games (DVD-R or DVD+R), your PS2 console needs to have some kind of aftermarket modifications such as Swap Magic boot disc + Flip Top or Slide Tool/Slice Card, or if you want your PS2 console to be modded, then you can have a professional modder install a modchip into your PS2 console. That is more expensive, roughly $100 - $150, but will save you times or rebuilding PS2 games into DVD5 (DVD-R or DVD+R discs), you can simply backup any DVD9 PS2 games into a top notch Verbatim DVD+R DL and it should boot fine. Whereas you can get a Swap Magic 3.6 Plus disc with a Flip Top for only $30, but you'll need to rebuild any PS2 games (DVD9) into DVD5 (DVD-R or DVD+R), so the choice is yours. Good luck!!

I am and everywhere and nowhere at once, I am Tokijin lol. Hey Alky I scanned my first Maxell DVD+R with Nero CD/DVD Speed and it had a max of 5 PIF's. That's right on par with my TY's. I have a garunteed PIF's on TY's of less than 10 when I burn at 4x. It's the first scan, but it looks like the MIJ's are right there with the TY's. I'll have to look around and order some in bulk online. The automatic booktyping in Nero is pretty sweet too. Cheers!

@johnjoej - I think you've misunderstood me there buddy. I said if you have AnyDVD or DVD43, then TURN THEM OFF because it (AnyDVD or DVD43) will only conflicts with DVDFAB Decrypter or VobBLanker 2.1.0.0.
Therefore, I said; "Things to remember, if you DON'T HAVE the latest from AnyDVD, then I suggest you TURN OFF AnyDVD or DVD43 or any cracking engines that's running in the background. Your VobBlanker method is working well, except for the Indiana Jones series. DVD Fab locks up only on that series, all others working OK. Any suggestions?
@citoried - maybe the original disc is dirty or badly scratched up. Try to clean it with some dish soap/detergent or car wash soap, then try to rip the movie again. Indiana Jones series is nothing special, I ripped all of them flawlessly using DVDFAB Decrypter and have VobBlanker to "process" for any left over craps, junks or protected cells/sectors, then back it up with Nero Burning Rom.
Or you can have DVD Decrypter to rip and set the settings inside I/O to "ignore read errors". Good luck and let me know how it goes.
@datcake - maybe sometime tomorrow I'll updates those programs/softwares at my "Easy Methods to rebuild PS2 games" at the PS2 forum, so you can check it out. In the mean time, you can search for paddymail's thread in the forum for those programs if you needed asap.

@Alkohol: Tried the soap & it went a little further before locking up. Wanted to change settings for ignore I/O errors in DVD Fab 2.9.7.0, but settings only had a couple of things you could change (English & to look for updated copy). Is there another way to change this setting?

I'm sorry for getting back to you so late with that issue about DVD Shrink (your PM) that you were having a lil debate about Shrink's not a "decrypt engine". I can safely say that you both are right. Nobody's wrong in reality or in terms of how you want to put it in. Actually, DVD Shrink is not a "decrypting engine" like you've stated, and you were right in some part. I think it's safe to say that DVD Shrink is more like a basic "ripper" and a "transcoder" that's all.
Yes, it is true that DVD Shrink can not handle any of the latest ARccOS or RipGuard if one trying to rip the whole movie. However, it might still be able to rip older movies, it may also be able to rip the "main movie" only via the "Re-author" mode. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty confident that DVD Shrink can not rip the whole movie with any of the latest encrypted protections from RipGuard and ARccOS.
Hope this clears things up for you alright. Oh by the way, you guys are funny as hell, yet at the same time, are doing a great job.

Man I love your guides Alky, but I must say I stick to DVD Region Free+CSS Free+Nero Recode 2. That works for me, but techincally it costs money unless you're creative *cough cough.* My Intel Celeron is slow with the high quality encoding, but you can definitely the difference in quality over the normal encoding. Nero Recode has become one of my favorite pieces of software.
@Tokijin - 3 years ago, I did used DVD Region + CSS Free, then I changed to DVDIdle Pro for a while, then I got "smarter" more brain, more creative and now only use FREE tools. Yes, any advanced user(s) will only use FREE tools now-a-days, not because they're cheap, but simply because they're SMART.
Just think about DVDFAB Decrypter, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, DVD Shrink, VobBlanker, PgcEdit, FixVTS and PSL plugins, man with all these kinds of free tools, I don't even need to buy any other applications/programs period. The best tools ever are those FREE tools.
Well, not quite all of my dvd burning applications are free; hmmm... except Nero. Man I'm sucha Nero-holic. I use Nero for nearly everything (i.e. Nero Recode 2 for transcoding, Nero Vision for all of my AVI projects, Nero Burning Rom and Nero Express to burn VIDEO_TS or ISO Image, Nero Express to burn CD, Nero ShowTime to watch DVDs/movies, AVI, DivX, Nero CD-DVD Speed for scanning my backups, Nero Digital for converting movies/dvds into my IPOD, and the best part is that... all Nero Recode, Nero Vision, Nero Burning Rom and Nero Express will/can AUTOMATICALLY "book type" any of my DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL backups flawlessly.)
Man... I got tons of love for Nero, know what I mean. There ain't too much of any application/program out there that can do as much as Nero does.

Hey, alkhol, have you run across any DVDs without the video_ts.vob file? I've hit two and the only way around them is to recode just the main movie. FabDecrypter, AnyDVD, DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, together or separately won't work. Even converting the files to a single ISO using Folder2Iso didn't work. The final disc will play on my PC but not my standalone.
@RealGomer - what movie/title is it? To be honest, I've never ran into any dvds/movies that I can not rip at all. It would be nice if you can provide the title(s)?

I have to see the titles, and see if no video_ts.vob is there on my version, if i can get the title. I havent ran in to anything that anydvd or the vob blanker method couldnt handle. And ive looked for the difficult ones just to test the anti-rip stuff. Bad press is the only thing that stopped me, and an exchange fixed that one. But those dont make it past the extracting phase. Could be something new, or a problem in the ripping proceedure.

@MaxBurn - let me know what is/are the movies/titles if you ever run into troubles ripping and I'll try for experiment alright buddy. Yes, as we both already knew that my "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker" can handle any new released dvds easily. If for whatever reasons, it fails to rip and process through VobBlanker, then it is definitely a bad pressed original.
On the other hand, my last hope/resource is "PgcEdit + PSL plugins + DVD Decrypter" (another flawless method), it is as great as AnyDVD with the latest updates, in my humble opinion.
I need to try the PSL method, I have the stuff on my pc and homepage but havent tried it yet. I like trying the free methods, even if it takes longer, or requires me to learn a new program or two. If i have the time. Otherwise i pop it in and let AnyDVD and cloneDVD2 go to work on it. I still like to use shrink, decrypter, nero, vob blanker, pgcEdit, ifo edit, etc.. But lately these hostile wars going on at AD have been dragging me down. We lost andmerr also. Had to take a break, doesnt know when he'll be back. Its combat buddy. Check out my homepage now. @MaxBurn - It's easier than it looks, here [ link ] - I wrote that guide using (THE LEGEND OF ZORRO) for Newbies, or those that are interested and or those that doesn't have AnyDVD.
Just follow my guide (DVD Decrypter + PgcEdit, PSL plugins + FixVTS) wisely and I'm sure you'll be fine. When you get to the "VobBlanker process", just ignore/disregard it because FixVTS and VobBlanker basically does the same thing, they both can PROCESS and FILTER out craps, dummy cells, bad sectors, etc.
*NOTE: the only reason I put VobBlanker in there is for people who's interesnted or has never seen the program before and simply because I just want to blank out a few unwanted junks, plus those 2 annoying FBI Warning craps only.
Try it.... it won't take long at all. Yes, it really is more easier than it looks. Basically, you just open up PgcEdit and rip the movie from scratch using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0. Usually it takes me 10 - 15 minutes to rip and another re-rip (a must process) via DVD Decrypter again with 4 - 9 minutes for the (imported PSL file) to successfully patch the skipped file of the bad/protected sector earlier (first ripped), then you're done. Once everything is done, just shrink it with Nero Recode 2 or DVD Shrink as usual.
That's it.... if you run into any issues, just hollar at me and I'll try to help alright buddy.

Thanks for the feedback re out of sync problem. When you suggested the kl-ite codec fixing the problem, did you mean to run the WMV file through that before I convert it to AVI, or the out of sync file after. I know that sounds like a stupid question, but I don't get how a codec can fix a sync problem, not knowing how out of sync it is and all.
More detail for a video newbie would be greatly appreciated.

Having a problem with backing up hustle and flo..followed directions usings dvd decryptor, shrink and DVD Fab Decrytor and vobblocker. I didn't know what to BLOK so I just hit PROCESS. Didn't look like anything was removed and then still had same oversize problem.
I have DVD Decryptor 3.5.2. Can I get 3.5.4 and do you think it would make a difference?

What's Up!? I have been posting around and asking for help on how to successfully burn College Hoops 2K6 for the PS2. Haven't gotten the proper answers yet so hopefully you would be willing to give me some advice. The deal is that when I try to burn the original .iso file it comes out to like 4.47GB from what it says on DVD Decrypter, but when I place my cursor over the file it says 4.16GB. Which is the true value? So I tried to burn it normally after that and it failed to load up when I used my SwapMagic DVD Version 2. The weird thing is that I have no problem with NBA 2K6 which is made from the same company. Could the size of the file be the problem? Before you answer, consider the following. I rebuilt the file using all the steps and it only shrunk the file by .2GB. I've done this process to other games and those files were drastically reduced. Any explanation for that? Could dummy files be present? Take a look at this for a better understanding of my situation [ link ] I also tried burning the newly formed .iso file, but it also failed. I went to put my cursor over the file and it said 4.16GB, but DVD Decrypter listed it as 4.45GB. I've even patched it with the DNAS info. The strangest thing is that it ran once on my PS2 and then it hasn't worked since. Very frustrating stuff. Anythin you can do? Thanks!

Another one is Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing). I know some very basic Taekwondo moves, like spinning kick, kicking high-low, side kick. Way back when I was 18, I can easily perform a flying or high 3 times kick (i.e kicking right to one person, then left to another person and right again for the straight forward last person just like you've seen in that link.

Tony Jaa is awesome. I think if he speaks/comprehend English, then he'll definitely be the next Bruce Lee for sure. Tony is super fast, his bone crunching, elbow and knees techniques are fantastic. If you like "Ong Bak", then you need to check out his new movie called "Tom Yum Goong".
Tom Yum Goong features some of Thailand's ancient boxing techniques. Tony performed really well, all of the actions are spectaculars and breath taking. I really like it when Tony fights with the Brazilian dancer and the Chinese sword dude. The story isn't that great, but who cares right? It's all about the actions, especially if you're a "true" Martial Artist/action fans, then you'll enjoy it. Tom Yum Goong borrowed a lot of Jackie Chan's earlier stunts/works.
One of the moves in the last clip was from Sha Po lang...when Wu Jing jumps over the goalie.

I watched "The Butterfly Sword". I was a little disspointed, as I was hoping to see more of Donnie in the movie.

Yes, I've seen "wheels on meals" (got it on DVD as well), it is definitely one of the best from the three brothers (Jackie, Sammo and Yuen Biao). I really enjoyed Yuen Biao's "Knockabout" and "The Prodigal Son", these two are old-school ma, but both are wonderful. One of the best flick from Yuen Biao is "Righting Wrong", I honestly think that this is his (Biao's) best movie fighting on screen, featuring Cynthia Rothrock.

I've been trying for ages to get "Tiger Cage II", Wing Chun, Dragon Inn and Righting Wrongs, and Drunken Tai Chi. I have seen most of the other ones. I am also trying to get "No Blood No Tears" and "Blood Heat". Have you seen those two? Any good? Also waiting for Princess Blade.
I just got Yes Madam!, with Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock, and Millionaire's Express(Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao). Gonna watch'em tomorrow.
I just looked through the new Tony Jaa movie...some awesome scenes. I have never seen so many broken limbs in one movie:~)! Didn't watch it all, I still gotta figure out the subs, bad luck again with 3 batches, gotta find the right ones(the ones that were perfectly syncronized were in Sweedish:~)!). But you were right, it reminds me of the power and speed displayed by Bruce Lee!
I just watched another super awesome gangster & dark cop flick from Sammo called "Dragon Squad". Sammo played a retired cop boss, but decided to take vengeance for his dead buddy. If you enjoyed Sha Po Lang, you'll definitely love Dragon Squad. Sammo showed some of his Wing Chun moves in the end fights. The final battle between Sammo and the triad leader is awesome man.
Seriously, I'll rate this 5 stars out of 5. It is as great as SPL, in my opinion. There are tons of gun battles, I feel like I was watching Chow Yun Fat in The Killer and Hard Boiled.
Dragon Squad talks half Cantonese and English, so I'm sure you'll understand most of them. It has flawless English subtitle. Again, you gotta see this man. All of the shooting, actions are as raw as SPL.
I'll try to find it...hopefully.

Yes Madam and The Millionaire's express were okay. Millionaire's express besides good fight scenes, with Sammo and Biao against each other, it is also funny. Man, I really wish I were in a bigger city, with a decent movie rental place. My net sources are not better either, been waiting for ages for some movies to finish DL.
Now I am gonna watch "Hero Of Swallow" , with Yuen Biao.
Sammo is one of the greatest. Although Jackie Chan became more famous than him in the west, I think Sammo is at least equally talented. He is not just a gret actor/Martial artist, but also a great director and choregraf.
Yes indeed, Sammo has tons of talented including acting, ma, director/actions choreographed, plus he's very acrobatic for his side. Honestly, he's the one and only big man that can do a lot of stuff.
Another great modern (mid 80s or early 90s) flick from Samma and Yuen Biao is "Eastern Condors", here [ link ] -- this movie is very explosive, it has tons of great fights. It is arguably and definitely one of the greatest featuring Biao & Sammo (the 2 brothers).
One of Yuen Biao's greatest is "Hero" (an early/mid 90s). Set in the 1940s Shanghai mafia/gangsters era. Yuen Biao performed really well in this movie. It is also featuring Takeshi Kaneshiro (the guy from House of Flying Daggers). Again, you need to see this movie - I "guarantee" that you won't be disappointed.
See, I told you that you'll enjoy all of the great/spectacular actions from Tom Yum Goong. Yes, the storyline isn't good, but all I care is the actions. Tony Jaa's bone-breaking technique is awesome. I enjoyed watching Tony and Nathan Jones fight as well, but I like it best when Jaa vs the brazilian dancer & the chinese sword dude.
Have you seen "Circus Kid"? If not then you need to check it out. Both Yuen Biao & Donnie Yen are in it. Storyline is sorta weak, but actions are as great as always.
I either order my DVDs from HKLegend, yesasia.com or I'll just hit the road to St. Paul within 20 minutes and I can pretty much grab anything that I haven't seen it. They even carried some old-school dvds "Shaw Brothers", from Ti Lung, David Chiang, Gordan Lau from Master Killer, Legendary Weapon of China, 8 Diagram Pole Fighter and the Venoms brothers era as well.
I can't help it, I mean while growing up as a kid and watching Bruce Lee, Jackie, Sammo, Biao, Shaw Brothers flicks and the later Jet & Donnie, I'm spoiled when it comes to ma movies.
Honestly, "The Matrix" is nothing compare to HK's mid 80s & early 90s modern actions. I hate movies with special effects or cg or wire fu. I would rather prefer any "realistic" mano vs mano combat. I even enjoyed Jackie's classic, like "Drunken Master, Snake in The Eagle's Shadow, Fearless Hyena".

Hi, I took a look at your generous guide on backing up a dvd using DVDFAB decrypter, VOBblanker and NeroRecode2 and have a question. How do you know where the dummy cells are to blank with VOBblanker? Do you view each VOB file and each pgc cell? Does the "auto" blank option work to remove he dummy cells? I have watched " Eastern Condors" sometimes in the early '90s. I wanted to get it when I moved here, I ordered it with Netflix, but some SOBs are stealing the movies in my mail, I didn't get half of them so I cancelled my membership.
It is a great movie though, that I remember!
I am triyng to get now "Ninja in the Dragon's Den", a movie from director/choregraph Corey Yuen. Have you seen it? Suppose to be good.
I like the "oldies", like the Master Killer or the return to the 36 Chamber of Shaolin. I have almost all of Jakie's oldies. I liked more his HK movies, like his oldies, Young master or Shaolin Wooden Man, or in the 80's, Project A/B and the Police Stories, more than his now Holywood "The Tuxedo" or whatever. But I guess he followed the money, he leaned more towards western viewers.
As for Matrix, is just a Cartoon with real actors.:~)!

Hey alkohol :) Hadnt hit your shoutbox in a while. This thing has a life of its own. Your shoutbox could divide off into a new forum all on its own. LOL When i first saw you running it, i thought, "no wonder i dont see alkohol in the forums much. He gets used up on his own shoutbox before he gets a chance to get to a forum". That, and the picture of a dog coming in from a field covered with TICKS. Well, if you're not here, the problem fixes itself. :) I barely check on my shoutbox. And TICKS dont feed on dead carcases.

Thank you for ur deatiled helps in Page 1. But I have tried all these but still both my IDE Channels have PIO settings. I have the hard-dsk (master) and a DVD ROM (slave) in Primary IDE and LG DVD Burner (master) and Samsung CDRW (slave) in Secondary IDE. I am going crazy with this as when I burn DVD-R (8x), it burns only at 1x, taking 50 mints to burn 4 GB data.
Another problem is that, when I uninstall the secondary IDE, after rebooting, the "Advanced Setting" disappears !?! Also, when I uninstalled the Primary IDE, I had problem in re-booting as my hard-disk is attached to it.
I also tried to Run REGEDIT. Go to the following key:

Not here to ask a question, I was just surfin AD and came across some of your advice and somehow, magically or was it by fate I ended up in your shoutbox lol. Damn I was bored, not anymore!!! @cyprusrom - "The Bodyguard" is an ok "action/comedy", starring Tony's sidekick "baldy" man only. Tony had a cameo scenes like 3 minutes (fighting some bad guys at the store) only.

I must be stupid, but I'm doing something wrong with VobBlanker. Said it would take 5 minutes, but mine is going right now and it's only 20% done at 1 hour. Looking at 5 hours maybe?? (And I'm using my laptop, along with an external hard drive) My friend that is using it....says it takes her 6-8 hours. Please tell me what we are doing wrong. I feel Stupid. @lutee - sounds like you're having DMA issues. Try to get your DMA back On or Available instead of Off or PIO Mode, follow this link here [ link ]
Again, VobBlanker should take "no longer" than 5 minutes to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. To be honest with you, I have "never ever" encountered any dvds/movies that I can not rip using DVDFAB Decrypter (FREE, only take 12 minutes to rip) and VobBlanker (FREE, only take 5 minutes to process). So far, both DVDFAB Decrypter and VobBlanker has never let me down, it has worked and still work 100% flawlessly.

Thanks Alkohol ! Checked DMA's and both are fine and on. uninstalled/deleted DVD Fab, and VOBBlankeraltogether, and completely cleaned out my Registry. Downloaded/installed latest versions of both. Disabled Norton Autoprotect, and I always turn off firewall (for whatever reason) DVD Fab still takes 30-45 min to finish (should be 12), started Blanker and was still headed for like 5 hours. So I think it's a problem from the getgo since Fab takes so long. To be specific I heard Hills Have Eyes was problematic so I wanted to use this stuff. Didn't work based on times above, I aborted. I used DVDX Plat and it worked fine with no problem, read/burned whole thing in about 30 min. This is the program I always use until there's like Sony problems. ( I know I'm antiquated but it's still working 99%). But i Want to use Your programs and guides, they're great! Could having DVDX on my computer be conflicting with Fab/Blanker? Could I have a conflict problem somewhere for these 40 min and 5 hour problem?
Swear everything else is normal. Limewire conflict? Do you have a list of conflicting things? I have a sony 810 burner too, and I use good media. Thank you SO Much, I've spent weeks researching and am just tired of being stupid, since all that I check Should be just fine. Sorry to drive all nuts, but I spend every night trying to fix, and my head's gonna blow off.

I have a problem with this movie when i use Nero. I ate the program Nero 7.0.8.2 (it tastes better than 6.6.0.18), then i ate the movie, and it didnt come out right. I tried eating AnyDVD, but i think it got stuck in my throat (bad install). Should i use tums or a laxitive? You think VOB blanker will help? I want the movie to come out decrypted and fine, not a pile of crap. I am tired of eating programs too. When you eat the program, you also eat all the bugs, and some of them taste nasty.

They kinda neutered my AK kitty. Its not animated anymore due to it being 50K too big in size per the new rules. But he still can do fine in semi-auto mode.

Alkohol you seem the most experienced in burning Naruto episodes. I download mine from naruto-dlc.com and when I try burning episodes 21-24, I keep getting a burning error popup in Nerovision express 3. PLZ HELP!! Laddyboy has tried to help but has failed and I think you might know what to do or you can tell me where you download your Naruto episodes. I think it might be something wrong with the video. I used your guide for DVDFab Decrypter-VOB Blanker-DVD Shrink-Nero on a movie recently and it worked great. In fact I didn't really need to use VOB Blanker when I thought I would. But tonight I tried the same guide to do the movie CLICK, and it didn't give good results. Lots of breaking up, pixilation, etc. So I switched to RipIt4Me and use the guide that Arniebear has done. As a newbie I want to be sure that I'm using the best methods. I would also appreciate any insight as to why the guide of yours that worked so great for me before failed. I'm guessing different copy protection, but I would appreciate any insights.

I read in the advanced users forum that you have not met a DVD that you could not burn and if there was, you would like to know and maybe challange you. :)
Well i might have it.
I am backingup Gnomon Tutorial DVD's and the files play from an embeded flash projector player. They are around 9 gig DVDs. DVD
Shrink hates them and DVD Decrypter will produce an ISO and MDS file but DVD Shrink wont condense the ISO (UDF Filesystem error).
If you have any suggestions or feel like it, I could use the advice. I have been everywhere to try and find the solution. Also, I have DVD DL discs to use for the project.
If you haven't tried the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter, then give it a shot. Try to get the latest possible; DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.3.8Beta should be able to handle any new released.
Method 1: My old DVDFAB guide DVDFAB Decrypter +DVD Shrink + ImgBurn guide Just skip STEP #2 (VobBlanker), unless DVD Shrink has encountered an error (having issue) or you're an advanced user and know what/where to blank out.

I just recently downloaded Nero 7 Premium Reloaded (trial version) and used your step-by-step directions to recode a DVD. I made the new folders you said to make along with the VIDEO_TS inside. I am having a problem...
Everytime I go to open the VIDEO_TS it states that Recode cannot open it..."Nero Recode encountered an error and cannot continue." This along with the file path and There are no more files.
Can you or anyone reading this help me get past this...
