  HI, you replied to my question in the 'dvd shrink forum' about a portable shrinking program, i would answer you there but for some reason it has been closed, anyway you answered by writting the comments below:
  I would have to disagree. This program is used to make backup copies of movies you OWN, not ones sitting around your mates house.
  
  This forum is dedicated to help people that want to make legitimate backup copies of the movies they own so as to preserve the original from damage.
  
  Therefore, it is not necessary to have Dvd Shrink as a portable app.
  
  have you ever seen the warning on commercial dvds it states:
  it is an offence to have and application that is able to circumvent the copy protection of said dvd.(or words to that effect)
  so according to this there is no such thing as legitamite backups (there may be in the usa but not here in the uk) thanks
