How to Hex Metal Gear Solid Substance

After you Extract both layers of metal gear solid Substance, Are you confused on the hexing bit?? Well this guide is to show you how it's done on a normal free Hex Editor.

Ok don't use WinHEX cause it needs to be paid to, Instead, use this FREE Hex Editor, It's bassically the same. XVI:

Now open XVI and look for your SLUS File




Than you will see all the Code's and that.




Make sure it's on overwrite at the bottom

Next, Click Adress> Go to...




Now Click Hexidecimel and Type the CODE IN like in the word document (check the guide)




Like this in my copy of the guide:




Than After you change all of them Click File> Save, Than go to the Next IOP(something, Something)

And You should be done soon. If you need more help on the Dummy files, Post in the guest box or PM me, (unless you don't need any more help)

  My SLES 820.09 had a value of 08 at 6F4...not 01 as indicated in the guide.??
  Original disk wrecked, but image on harddrive...could do with advice.

  Hello, exactly what does Hex editing do in Metal Gear Solid: Substance? I am readingyour tutorial, but nowhere does it sy what this hex editing will do. I'm wondering if I am missing the first half of the tutorial, do you have a link please? Thank you and sorry for being such a noob.
