Hi Old Geek. I am 2 years older than you and still learning computers. I am having some problems with this here new Sony Arcoos or whatever they call it. Maybe you have some insights for a fellow senior. I have used DVD Decyrpter to make ISO files, but DVD Shrink doesn't like them.

Hi 2oldgeek. I am sorry to bother you but as an Irish woman with very limited computer skills, I was hoping you caould helpme out. I have left my hijack log on a thread could you please look at it and inform me if of results. I have suddenly on my screen got a warning sign saying there is spywareon my computer and that I need to download anti virus /spyware to clean my computer. I have done spybot searcg and destroy, avg, superspyware scans and cleanups, but this warning is still on my screen. It doesnot appear on any of the other usre accounts. Any ideas, I would very much appreciated a hand from acrooss the Atlantic.

    Hey 2OG,

I felt the urge to bother you again:)
We need to fix this Vundo-variant , I noticed that others have successfully removed it from their system cept me. I have posted details on what I think might be the issue, if you could have a look at it, that would make my day.

    Take care,
    Dee

Hey 2OG... I've seen a lot of threads with you helping people and it looks like you've fixed EVERYONE'S computer..... I was wondering if you could maybe look at my thread in the forums.... it's the one with the title .tt2.tmp.vbs not found. ... please help me..... Thanks in advance 2OG.

  • garmoon (13 Jul 2008 13:15)

Instead of hyjacking iTokee's thread, I'll used this way. I can see you're 4 years older than I and not too far away if ye are still in Texas. I'm in Baton Rouge and live younger years in MidlandTexas and Albuquerque. But after 2nd grade lived in Lafayette,La till I left home for college. I'm an adopted coonass and proud of it. Thanks for you info and one last question. I'm on my 4th Dell, 2mos ago now, and it came with Ghost loaded to go back to where the pc came into my house and was turned on. Will that get all the nasties out simply ghosting back? I have all my data backed-up on an external HDD and also DVD RWs. Where are you in Texas? Just got back from Lake Conroe on the 4th visiting ex neighbors.

  • diver7 (13 Aug 2008 9:57)

Hello I had the joke blue screen virus and ran the malwarebytes which seemed to remove it but when I first turn on my computer a small black screen comes up with c:\rrbbaal.exe for just a moment then goes away. Also the box that says there are unused icons on your desktop comes up twice. Do you think I still have the virus. Thanks

I just wanted to thank you again sir for your help on my malware issue, its running great. One other question if you don't mind sir is your expertise only with malware or do you have some expertise in corrupted windows 2000 OS? Let me know when you get a chance.

    Thanks again Chuck

  • nfrost (16 Aug 2008 14:13)

    2OG,
I never got round to thanking you for your work cleaning my PC of the malware.
It seems you are a very busy man on here and i thank you from the bottom of my heart for your tireless work.
Its good to know that while the scum of the earth write these things, there is someone like you to help the uneducated beat them.
You are in truth a PC superhero, protecting the innocent.

  • Keivar (19 Aug 2008 7:27)

  • j24ep (26 May 2009 21:57)

Hey I hope I'm helping people, and helping you answer some of the simpler questions... I don't want to be overpowering but I'd like to get my feet wet in computer repair since that's the field I'm planning on going into. This is really helpful for experience before entering the workforce. Thanks again for your help. I'm a teen just entering college in the fall and find this very satisfying to be able to help people. I'm sure you understand. ttyl
